FUGITIVE WANTED BY DOC IN KING COUNTY May 17, 2014 –
A dangerous rapist is on the run — convicted of two extremely violent sex assaults that put him in prison for more than 15 years. Now he’s out — and missing.
Sallyea McClinton is a level three sex offender — the worst of the worst.
He stalked a woman who was a total stranger, following her home to her apartment, then raping her in an elevator at knifepoint. He got away, and less than a month later, targeted another stranger and violently struck again. “The victim and her five year old daughter were returning home when they noticed a man in the laundry room of her apartment building that she didn’t know,” says Department of Corrections Ofc. Emily Isaacs. “She proceeded to her apartment building. He came up behind her, grabbed her, forced her into her apartment, subsequently knocking her to the ground. He forced her into a bedroom along with the five year old as well as another daughter. He tried to attack her. One of the daughters broke a window trying to distract him. He fled the apartment. Horrifyingly enough, he came back the following day and was peering in the windows trying to see what he could see. The victim called police and he took off.”
McClinton was caught days later, and also linked to the rape in the elevator.
Both sex crimes happened in 1995, and McClinton stayed behind bars until last year. He was thrown back in jail a couple months later for breaking probation, got out in November, and now he’s missing again.
Sallyea McClinton is 36 years old and has an 8” scar on his right hand. He last registered to live in downtown Seattle.
