DES MOINES, Wash. — Des Moines police are hoping you can identify the suspect in an armed robbery at the Shell station in the 1700 block of South 272nd Street on Nov. 12.
The suspect was wearing a Chicago Bulls sweatshirt and kept cycling the slide on his semi-automatic pistol.
"As soon as the cash register opens, the suspect removes a semi-automatic pistol from his waistband and points it directly at the clerk. As soon as he takes it out, he works the slide on that semi-automatic pistol and he's telling the clerk to open the cash register and give me everything that's in there," said Des Moines Police Sgt. Doug Jenkins.
"He's obviously a concern. If he isn't familiar with the firearm he's using and he's gonna commit his crimes with his finger on the trigger, it's just a matter of time before we have a tragedy on our hands," said Jenkins.
The suspect is 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-8 with a medium build. Witnesses described his unique hair as having small ponytails. If you know his name, download the P3 Tips App on your smart phone and submit the information anonymously to Crime Stoppers. There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
