singhsingh victim picsWANTED IN FEDERAL WAY —
Take a look at the injuries to a domestic violence victim’s face and neck after Federal Way Police say she was attacked by her boyfriend — convicted felon, Aaron Singh.

Police say Singh strangled the victim during two assaults and broke her eye socket during a third attack in Fife.

Detectives are extremely worried about the victim’s safety because statistics show women who have survived strangulation before are eight times more likely to be killed the next time. So, she is in hiding for very good reason and Singh has a $250,000 warrant for his arrest.

King County prosecutors charged him with two counts of domestic violence assault, robbery and residential burglary.

“We’ve had two incidents of assault in Federal Way between this suspect and victim and also another incident where he is suspected of breaking into her apartment and stealing a gun,” says Cathy Schrock with Federal Way Police. “It’s clear that he’s escalating his level of violence and the use of strangulation is going to result in a homicide if he’s not brought in.”

Aaron Singh has prior convictions for domestic violence assault, violation of a no contact order, possession of a dangerous weapon, harassment, resisting arrest and violation of a no contact order.

bleach suspects outside 1

SEATTLE -- Seattle Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects accused of throwing bleach in the faces of women before trying to rob them.

The attacks occurred on August 15 in the parking lot of the Safeway at 3900 S. Othello St. and the Dollar Tree store at 9000 Rainier Ave S. in South Seattle.

"When I first got hit with it, I thought it was acid to be honest, because my face was burning,” said one victim who asked not to be identified by name. She was leaving the Dollar Tree store after buying some snacks for her mom.

"I had my keys around my neck and I was about to open the door and I heard ‘excuse me’. I turned around, splash,” she said.

The suspect tried to grab her cell phone.

“I just yanked her hands off me and I just bolted straight into that store,” said the victim who was taken to the hospital after employees in the Hair Art Beauty Supply store called 911.

Fortunately, she was wearing her glasses so the bleach didn’t get in her eyes but it did go down her throat.

“My whole throat was burning. It was hard for me to breathe.”

She described her attacker as African American with a caramel colored complexion, 18-21 years old, 5’03” to 5’05” with a slim build.

"I remember she had corn rows in her head. I couldn't tell if she had long hair or not because she had a hood on but she had very piercing eyes. She had a very intimidating face,” said the victim.   bleach suspects outside 2

Less than an hour later, Seattle Police say there was a second attack outside the Safeway store about two miles away.   A woman had just put groceries in her car when she says two suspects threw bleach in her face.

“They kind of yelled at her. She turns and they threw the fluid on her and attempted to grab her purse. A pretty good struggle went on and she was able to retain her purse,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

The two suspects fled northbound through the parking lot and the victim called 911. Officers found her face, eyes and neck visibly red and she was having trouble seeing.

A surveillance camera outside the store shows the two teenage girls police suspect in the attack based on the witnesses description. Each is holding a cup. One suspect is wearing a bright fluorescent top. The video shows her hand her cup to the other and then walk inside the store. She meets up with a woman in a blue dress and the two hug before she walks back outside. The two suspects then leave the camera’s view walking north.  Detectives say the bleach attack occurred off camera.

The suspect in the bright top is described as African American, 4’11” with a heavy build and 16 to 17 years old. Both suspects are facing charges as adults for Attempted Robbery and Assault.

The second suspect in the dark hoodie matches the description of the woman in the first attack outside the Dollar Tree store.

"We feel she`s involved in both cases,” saidCarner. "We feel there`s a pretty good correlation here. They think they have a good MO. We need to know who these people are."

While the victim in the first attack didn’t suffer permanent physical injuries, she is suffering from emotional scars.

“She needs to get caught because this is not OK and for something like this to go unpunished is not OK” she said.

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information identifying the two suspects that leads to their arrest. If you know either of their names, call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit the information online at www.crimestoppers.com.

Mother-daughter duo who had felony warrants — arrested in King County

MCKAY

CAPTURE UPDATE:
Lorah (Lora) McKay was arrested and booked into the King County Jail on June 10th.  She plead guilty to Identity Theft for using credit cards stolen during a car prowl at a Renton daycare.   She was sentenced to 43 months in prison.

Her daughter, Sonya McKay, was arrested and booked into the King County Jail on July 14th.

FUGITIVES WANTED IN KING AND PIERCE COUNTY April 15, 2016 —
Detectives in King and Pierce counties say Lora and Sonya McKay are up to no good.

This is a case that began last fall when we first introduced you to a pregnant mom targeted by a thief. Laura Sivan’s purse was stolen from her car as she dropped off her kids at daycare in Normandy Park last October. “It`s usually pretty quick, just in and out, drop them off, give them kisses, say goodbye. Two, five minutes max. I went to grab my phone to see what time it was, and there was no phone. My phone was in my purse and there was no purse.”

Within an hour, Normandy Park Police say this woman made almost a $1,000 worth of charges on Sivan’s debit card in Des Moines and Federal Way.

“Right now we`re looking for Lora McKay, she also goes by Lora Contor,” says Normandy Park Police Det. Jeremy Hedrick. He says WMW tips to Crime Stoppers identified Lora, but they haven’t’ been able to find her. “Basically, her hustle is to wait outside daycares, as parents run their kids inside she breaks into the car and steals the purse and then is off using bank cards immediately.”

He says Lora has about 50 aliases she's using to fly under the radar and is hitting in Renton, Kent, Tukwila and Pierce County.

She's often with her daughter, Sonya, who has a felony warrant in Pierce County after not showing up in court for a plea deal she struck after being caught with heroin. She’s also wanted in Pierce County for rendering criminal assistance and driving with a suspended license.

Det. Hedrick believes if they can find one, they'll find the other. “I want them really bad at this point. The problem with her is every day she`s not in custody, she`s out doing this exact same crime over and over and we`re seeing it throughout King County and Pierce County and she`s definitely wanted by multiple agencies at this point, so I personally want her in custody very much.” So does Laura Sivan, who knows she made a mistake when she left her car unlocked -- something she will never do again. I`m so paranoid now about making sure my car doors are locked. I press the lock button like 6 times, everytime I go now just to make sure.”

Lora McKay is the primary target and has warrants in King County for possession of stolen property and identity theft and is looking at more charges when she's caught.

She was driving a white convertible before, but detectives say the mother-daughter duo are now renting different cars.

If you can tell police where to find them, call an anonymous tip into:

Classic car crook: Weekend trip to Washington turns terrible for Chevelle owner from Canada

CLASSIC CARWANTED IN PUYALLUP —
A Vancouver Island man brought his beloved, 1964 Chevy Chevelle SS to a car show at the Puyallup fairgrounds last month and while parked at a hotel on South Hill — someone drove off with it.

Police have released video taken from the hotel’s surveillance camera. You can’t see the thief’s face, but detectives hope by releasing the video, it may help jog someone’s memory whose seen the car. “We’ve received a lot of tips and I want to thank the public for providing those tips to us. We believe that someone knows where this car is. It’s very distinctive and we’re asking that they come forward with information,” says Puyallup Police Capt. Ryan Portmann.

This crime is really heartbreaking because it’s the car that owner, Dave Russell, dreamed of having since he was a kid and when he retired, he put the time and effort into restoring it.

His wife, Jo, says it was tough to see how upset he was when he came back home without his baby. “He doesn’t remember the drive from Puyallup back home. He just has no recall. It’s just like a blank, he was so stunned and when he came home, I didn’t know what to say to him, just the look on his face. He just walked right past me. He was just grief stricken and it’s hard to imagine somebody being so attached to a car, but it’s like his kid and you know, he’s worked on it for a long time.

Dave Russell has a plea for the crook who stole his Chevelle. “If you have that car and you have a conscious, any kind of conscious, just push it out on the street, or take it to a supermarket parking lot and the police will do their thing. It's been really tough and I just would like it end, end on a happy note, that is."

The 1964 Chevy Chevelle SS has British Columbia license plates of 360JLB.

The car had a Sony stereo in the glove box and an air suspension system in the trunk.

GUN BURGLARS 2

CAPTURE UPDATE:
Pierce County deputies need help identifying the last of the three suspects — the crook in the middle with the purple jacket and gray sleeves.

Detectives say both the suspect behind him in the red hoodie and  the guy in front of him in the maroon knit cap and maroon jacket have been identified and arrested.

“Thanks to the public and some tips, we got some information in that led to the arrest of a couple of people that are suspected in this burglary and the good part is these were really brazen criminals that went into an occupied residence, took a wallet and a gun while the homeowner was there asleep, so this is a group of people who are out at night, doing nothing but breaking into places and stealing weapons, wallets and money and we have two of them off the streets, still looking for the third, but we expect to get him,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer.

FUGITIVES WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY July 15, 2016 --
Pierce County deputies need help identifying three crooks who broke into a Spanaway smoke shop and ended up stealing the owner's wallet and gun.

The surveillance video shows the suspects outside the ‘Up In Smoke’ store on Monday. Deputies say they were able to enter the apartment in the back of the store, where the owner was sleeping -- and that's when they stole his wallet and gun.

"We want these guys caught and taken off the street before they hurt somebody. They’re burglarizing occupied residences and now that we know that they’re armed, that makes it even worse that they’re out in the middle of the night doing these type of crimes,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer.

You can see the suspect in the front. he looks white with at least a moustache, if not more facial hair. He wore a crimson-colored hooded jacket and a ski hat with crimson and white on it that may be a Washington State University hat with that color combo.

Although you can't see the faces of the other two suspects, detectives hope you may recognize their hooded jackets: One's bright red, the other's is burgundy-colored with gray sleeves.

Perfume-hurling perps: Help Seattle Police identify pair of strong-armed store robbers

PERFUMEWANTED IN SEATTLE —
It always amazes and saddens me to see people just stealing whatever they want without any thought to the consequences or impact on those around them – like these two suspects that Seattle Police are trying to identify.

Detectives say they had a real bad attitude when they were confronted by a clerk, one of them even threw a bottle of perfume at the victim and threatened to beat him up.

“The gal without the hat has a big large purse and you’re going to see her actually put things into the purse and they start to leave and they’re confronted by store personnel and this is where things go bad,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “One of the gals without the hat turns, threatens the clerk and then turns and as she’s walking away she grabs some pretty hefty perfume bottles and chucks them at the loss prevention officer. If you watch the video, you’ll see the second suspect, the female with the hat. She’s just indignant in this thing. To add insult to injury, she grabs a six pack of soda going out the door like it’s no big deal. It’s kind of ‘in your face,’ but it is a strong-armed robbery and it is a felony. Every time it happens, prices go up so you and I pay the price for these thieves.”

Detectives say the first suspect is black, between 30 and 50 years old, 5'6” tall, with a thin build. She was wearing a brown dress.

The second suspect is also black and between 30 and 50 years old, 5'8” tall and wearing a white hat, green and white flower print blouse, green pants and carrying a large red bag.

WILLIS 2WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Marcus Willis is a convicted rapist who Seattle Police say has sworn to kill any officers who contact him, because he is not going back to prison.

Willis was convicted in 2005 for raping a 14 year old and spent time in prison.

Now he is wanted by the Department of Corrections for Escape from Community Custody.

But, Seattle Police are also searching for him for domestic violence after they say he assaulted his girlfriend when she grabbed her child, jumped out of his car and tried to get away from him out of fear for her safety. “He actually assaulted the victim while she was carrying a two year old child. He charges them, knocks her down and she’s carrying the child. She falls on the child. I mean, the child could have hit her head, could’ve died,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

A Good Samaritan saw what was happening and stopped the car and yelled that she was calling the police. Detectives say Willis jumped in his grandmother’s car and drove off.

Detectives say he is armed with a semi-automatic pistol and has used it to threaten to kill the victim and himself — saying he will not go back to prison.

“16 felony convictions. Are you kidding me? These are the convictions for Burglary, Assault, Drugs, Rape, Domestic Violence, Possession of Stolen Drugs, Prescription drugs, Theft, Assault, Unlawful Imprisonment. Seriously, we need to take this guy off the street,” adds Carner.

Marcus Willis is 6’2”, weighs 195 pounds and is 41 years old.

He’s known to hang out in the Broadway area of Capitol Hill.

Daniel Guerin murder: Detectives hope new DNA profile can help solve deadly stabbing at Lakewood park

$

guerinUPDATESeptember 28, 2016

One year after Danny Guerin, 36, was found stabbed to death near his pickup truck in the parking lot of Seeley Lake Park in Lakewood, police say they have a DNA profile of a possible suspect. “Officers found what they believe was fresh spit or saliva, probably about 5 to 6 feet from the victim’s body. Obviously, if it’s not dried and it’s pretty recent so they’ve made that collection and we got back a DNA profile and it came back as a male. That’s all we know. We’ve entered it into CODIS which is a nationwide database. We’re waiting for a hit. It gets checked at least weekly because somebody is going to have to be arrested and have their sample inserted into it and if we can get a match, obviously that’s a good lead for us because that person has to explain why their saliva which was reasonably fresh was still at the scene of that crime,” said Lakewood Police Lt. Chris Lawler.

If they got a tip from the public on a person of interest, they could compare their DNA to that sample. “If that DNA gets a match, you can’t say it wasn’t me. DNA doesn’t lie. It could have been a witness. It could have been that they were just there and maybe they left just as this was getting ready to start but saw something. We’d love for that hit to come up sometime sooner than later,” said Lt. Lawler.

Surveillance video from August 27th, 2015 shows a pedestrian walking from the north to the south entering the park at 9200 Lakewood Dr. SW before Guerin arrives in his 2003 blue Chevrolet truck. Detectives believe the homicide occurred about five minutes later and think he may have been a victim of an attempted robbery. However, a motive has not been determined.  Police are asking for any information on suspicious persons or vehicles seen near or in Seeley Park that night.

“I often wonder if there’s somebody that knows something about this case or maybe our suspect confided in somebody and their holding on to that secret for a little while. I always hope that those people, their conscience gets the better of them and they decide to come forward to turn their friend in or family member in to do the right thing,” said Lt. Lawler.

If you have any information that can help detectives solve the case, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).  There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

UPDATE September 11, 2015 —
Lakewood detectives have new surveillance video to show that they hope will help find Daniel Guerin’s killer.

“The video does show about five or six minutes prior to the victim coming into the parking lot, a pedestrian walking from the north to the south entering into the park,” says Lakewood Police Lt. Chris Lawler. “You can’t tell who the pedestrian is, you just can tell there’s a person on foot walking into the park. Then we see the victim, Danny Guerin, pull-in in his truck and then about five or six minutes later we believe the homicide occurred, so is this person related or involved? Probably and at the very minimum the detectives want to talk to that person, so we’re still at a point right now in the case where we don’t have any leads. We don’t have any good information, nothing to go on, so the detectives are still asking for the public’s help. We’re asking for them to think about what they may have seen that night if they were in that area. Did you see anybody running? Anybody acting strange? Did you have a friend or somebody come back to your house who was covered in blood and came up with a different explanation that night? Anything like that the detectives just need something to go on.”

According to a witness, the Washington license plate may have started with “AT” or similar to those letters .

“In the video, you’re going to see a suspect vehicle at first. It’s going down an alley at a relatively slow speed. You’re going to see brake lights come on, then you’re going to see a lone person get out of the car, which we figure is the shooter in this double homicide," Carner said.

After shooting both victims, the suspect got back into the waiting vehicle and fled the scene. He’s described as black, about 6-foot-2 and wearing a flat-brimmed ball cap with an identified logo on the front and ripped jeans.

“We pay a thousand dollars for a reward on a homicide. We’re going to pay $1,000 for each of the victims in the case so if you call the hotline and you solve this case, you’re going to be eligible for $2,000,” said Carner.

KING COUNTY — Department of Corrections Officers in King County are asking for the public’s help to find High Violent Level 1 Sex Offender Michael Ray Bailey aka ‘Dallas Bailey’ aka ‘Dallas Colson’. He is wanted for Failure to Register as a Felony Sex Offender.

Bailey was convicted in 1992 when he was 18 years old of Attempted Rape 2.  Official records show he tried to remove a 16-year-old girl’s clothing outside a party at a home and when she said no, he grabbed her by the throat and started squeezing, demanding to know if she was going to have sex with him. She almost lost consciousness but he let go when other people came outside. The victim went to a pay phone and called police. While she was waiting for officers to arrive, he walked by and threatened to kill her.

Then, in 2001 when Bailey was 27-years-old, he was convicted of Assault 2 of a 50-year-old woman.  “He asked an acquaintance if he could stay at her apartment while he waited for a ride, she agreed. She ended up dosing off and when she woke up he was choking her, he pulled a knife on her and held it to her back. She ended up getting cuts on her back from it. He tried to rob her. This is an individual who knew her. He knew her husband’s schedule, knew that he would be gone. We need to find him, you know. He’s on the run. He’s violent. He’s a sexual predator. We need your help to find him, now,” said DOC Officer Emily Isaacs.

Gig Harbor armed robbery

PIERCE COUNTY  — Gig Harbor Police are asking for the public’s help to identify an armed robber and the woman who drove the getaway vehicle.

At 5:15 a.m. on Thursday August 18th, 2016, the gunman robbed a Chevron gas station located at Stinson Ave. and Wollochet Dr. NW.  “He walked into the Chevron with a sawed-off shotgun with a blue nylon strap on it and confronted the clerk who was just coming out of the back room and demanded all the money out of the till,” said Lt. Fred Douglas with Gig Harbor Police.

During the robbery, he was seen wearing a purple and black hooded University of Washington jacket, gloves, and had a scarf covering his nose and mouth.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, and approximately 5’5” tall.  “We don’t have a lot of violent crime in Gig Harbor so we definitely want to catch this guy,’ said Lt Douglas.

Police say he didn’t just want the cash. He also asked for four packs of cigarettes in two different brands, maybe for the getaway driver who is described as a female, 20 to 25 years old, brown hair, and wearing a white t-shirt.  "As he exited, an uninvolved witness saw him and also described him as possibly Hispanic or white male but did say he had a Spanish accent and said the word ‘sir’ to him as he was leaving the store."  They fled in a dark-colored 2-door SUV, possibly a Kia or Hyundai.

The robbery is similar to one near Auburn at the Arco station on S. 320th street on August 7th at 2:30 am. The suspect in that case was armed with a pistol grip shotgun. He also appears to be Hispanic or white, approximately 5/10” with a heavy build and took off on foot after getting the cash.  “To go into a business with a shotgun, first of all you have to hide it to get it in there and then to just point something like in the face of a clerk is pretty outrageous,” said Sgt. Cindi West with the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Whether it’s the same suspect or two different gunmen, officers in both jurisdictions want to stop these robberies before someone gets hurt. "When a firearm is involved it raises the stakes tremendously,” said Lt. Douglas.  Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that can solve these crimes. Call the hotline anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) if you can identify the gunmen.

NEWCASTLE — Zetron’s 6TH Annual Shoot for the Stars tournament at The Golf Club at Newcastle to benefit the Behind the Badge Foundation continues to grow in popularity.

Hundreds of members of law enforcement and other first responders joined Seattle Sonics legend Slick Watts and former Seahawks Nesby Glasgow and Alonzo Mitz to raise more than $25,000 for the non-profit organization that helps the families of fallen officers.

“We really appreciate how hard their jobs are and it’s an opportunity for them, number one, to get a day away from the office. It’s a beautiful venue out here at Newcastle but more importantly, they get a chance to step away and contribute to a charity that obviously means a lot to them,” said Brent Dippie, President of Zetron, Inc.

Redmond based Zetron makes equipment that goes into 911 dispatch centers.

The company started the tournament to show their appreciation for all members of law enforcement.

Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole participated for the first time.  “It means a great deal for me to be here today. Behind the Badge is a wonderful charity. I’m just delighted to be among these great people,” said Chief O’Toole.

Susan York and Sheri Mellquest have served as organizers since the tournament’s debut in 2011, helping to raise more than $100,000 for the foundation.
