inacio-nein-posterKILLER WANTED IN KENT -- A Kent man’s family is talking publicly for the first time about his murder in hopes somebody will come forward to identify the killer. "Everyone is broken hearted and sad about him, what happened,” said Kathreen Macantalay, the victim’s niece. On Friday, August 26th just before 9pm, 37-year-old Inacio Nein and his nephew were sitting on a log listening to music in a wooded area between SE 242nd and SE 244th near the 10800 block in Kent’s East Hill when a gunman approached them.

The suspect described as a black man, 18 years of age, 6’ tall, medium build with “puffy” looking 1” long black hair asked what was in their pockets and started reaching toward them. The nephew was able to push the suspect’s hands away but was struck in the side of the head with the gun. He was knocked incoherent and fell to the ground. The suspect then fired several shots toward Nein who died at the scene.  The victim’s nephew was able to run away to call police.  Officers were on another call nearby. “The cops responding to the scene even heard those shots but that tells you how fast this suspect got away which tells me he`s probably familiar with the area,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound who is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can identify the killer.

Macantalay says her family is still in shock over the murder of her uncle. "He told me I better graduate because he will be there on my graduation,” she said. She’s devastated just like Nein’s cousin who is having a hard time believing he’s gone. "I feel weak when I heard it. I thought he's not dead,” said Kathy Enther.  They say Nein was a fun guy who loved to tell jokes and sing. “He would always sit in front of our old car, the black one that was always parked, and he would always be playing the Ukelele,” said Macantalay.

Kent Police have put up Crime Stoppers posters on businesses and apartment complexes near the murder scene and are hoping the $1,000 reward leads to a good tip. “This guy out on the loose has a gun. That means he`s dangerous. He`s also wanted for homicide. He`s not gonna stop and just hand himself in. Somebody knows where he`s at and that information’s important,” said Ret. Det Carner. Crucial even to helping Nein’s family get justice.  "I hope he realize what he did was wrong,” said Macantalay.

If you have any information that could identify a suspect in the case, call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS or submit the information at http://www.crimestoppers.com.  You will never be asked to give your name as it is completely anonymous.

Murder Mystery: Des Moines Police trying to find homeless father’s killer, solve 2015 Christmas Eve case

KILLER WANTED IN DES MOINES —  The sounds of nearby gunfire last Christmas Eve.  It’s something no 7-year-old should ever have to hear. “I heard the gunshots and then we both ducked down,” said Florence Paige’s daughter. They were at home when Danny Cisneros was shot to death in the stairwell of the apartment next door in the Pacific Ridge neighborhood. “It needs to be a safe area for my kids so I’m really upset that it happened,” said Paige.

Cisneros was found with his wife and son trying to stop the bleeding. “The victim was here in the foyer on the steps leading down to the apartment. The shooter was all the way over there near the back-end of that white car that’s parked,” said Des Moines Police Det. Fred Gendreau.  The family was homeless. “Christmas Eve night. It was raining so they came into this foyer to stay dry,” he said.

You can still see the crime scene investigation stickers showing where bullet holes riddled the building that is filled with families and small children.  It's that callous indifference towards life that has Des Moines Police so focused on identifying the shooter.

"The suspect was wearing dark clothing, he was tall and he walked with a very distinct swagger. One of the witnesses said that he looked like he either had an injured back or he was purposely walking with a swagger," said Det. Gendreau.

Danny and his family had been staying in a camp off 200th and Military Rd. before he was killed. Now his wife and son are in hiding until police identify the suspect.

Det. Gendreau says they`ve been working diligently on the case for the last year but really need a tip from the public to help identify the killer. "We just hope that somebody will recall something or remember seeing something that they didn`t report to us before, that they`re willing to come forward now and talk about that."

If you have any information that can help Des Moines Police identify the shooter that killed Danny Cisneros, submit the information anonymously via the P3 Tips App or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.

KILLER WANTED IN SEATTLE —
A Seattle family is begging for  help to find the killer of a 51-year-old grandmother.

Trina Bolar was shot multiple times inside her home on the 2800 block of E. Arthur Place on August 2.

Around the neighborhood, friends and family of the shooting victim posted reward flIers offering $6,000 for information leading to an arrest — $5,000 from family and friends and $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.  Her family says it’s just an incentive for people to step up and speak up.

You can see bullet holes inside the Madison Valley neighborhood home where Bolar was shot to death.

“Immediately, I knew something was terribly wrong,” said the victim’s daughter Rushawn Barnes.

Bolar’s family was thousands of miles away in Japan when they got the call.

“I didn’t really know how to handle it, to be honest,” said Barnes.

In pictures the family still has of Bolar, they say they hope to remember her as a wonderful, warm, and welcoming woman.

“My mother always wanted people to be happy. She wanted to know a lot of people. She wanted to be a part of their happiness,” said Barnes.

Barnes thinks her mom might’ve been too friendly by helping out and trusting people she hardly knew.  Ultimately, she believes it could’ve been a factor in the gruesome murder.

“This grandmother died for no reason that we’re aware of. Other people may die by the suspect that shot her. We don’t know,” said Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound Ret. Det. Myrle Carner.

Now a $6,000 reward awaits someone who speaks up and says something.

“We need to know if you heard anything, shots being fired, seen a car getting away, people running,” said Carner.

“Someone has to speak up, you know? If it was your family member you would be where I’m standing and you would want someone to speak up,” said Barnes.

Those who knew and loved Trina Bolar gathered at her home and in the backyard wearing T-shirts with the reward information printed on the back.  On the front, a fun-loving picture of the murder victim as the family chooses to celebrate her life.

“I never imagined my life without my mom because she was young. She was vibrant,” said Barnes.

Bolar’s death comes at a very difficult time for the family.  Bolar's husband died in April.  Barnes said her mom was just getting to know her first granddaughter.

If you have any information about this murder, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Who killed Reese Ali? Renton Police seek public’s help to solve murder mystery

RENTON — Renton Police are trying to solve a murder mystery that stretches back to July of 2015.

21 year old Reese Ali was found shot to death in his silver Charger near City View Church.

“I was just devastated. I was like what? Why would somebody do that? He was just so nice, so sweet and a loving person. He didn’t have hate, he didn’t have anger. He was always smiling. He was a happy person,” said his little sister Brea Ali.

Surveillance video from the church shows Reese’s car pull through the drive and up the hill in the early morning hours of July 19th.  Detectives say he was with at least one other person.

“Somebody heard what they thought might have been multiple gunshots. They looked outside and they saw a man running down the street just adjacent to this parking lot. It was dark. The only thing that that person could tell us was that it appeared to be a black male wearing dark clothing,” said Renton Commander Dave Leibman.

Detectives have spent the last year and a half trying to piece together what happened that night.

“We’ve developed some people that we are interested in but we just don’t have what we need to take the case forward so what we are really hoping for is that somebody out there who has some firsthand knowledge of that night will come forward and help solve this case and bring somebody to justice,” said Commander Leibman.

Reese’s family says he was working at a restaurant and manufacturing industrial parts.

“Everybody loved my brother. I loved him the most and the last thing he said to me before he was murdered was I love you other half and he gave me a hug,” said Brea.

Reese was her only brother and she believes somebody knows exactly why he was killed.

“Just think about it. If that was you or your family member, you would want somebody to have that closure. You would want somebody to come forward and let them know and say who did it because nobody should have to live with that every day, nobody, nobody,” said Brea.

Police say they have taken this case as far as they can. Without help from the public, it could go unsolved.

“Whatever happened that night, he didn’t deserve this. He was murdered in cold blood and left to die in a parking a lot alone and we just have to solve this case,” said Commander Leibman.

Please contact Det. Edwards at cedwards@rentonwa.gov or 425-430-7632 if you have any information regarding the murder of Reese.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information to help identify the killer. If you would like to remain anonymous, use the P3 Tips App on your phone or by go to http://www.P3Tips.com or call 1-800-222-TIPS.

RENTON, Wash. — Who killed Jamar Bovan? He was found shot to death in his green Dodge Caravan on SW Victoria Street in Renton on July 6, 2015.

“He was so decomposed, we couldn’t see him or touch him or say goodbye,” said his aunt Patsy Bovan.

Jamar was last seen on July 2, 2015.

“We’re hurting and the only thing that can take away that pain is to let us know why and who,” said Patsy.

Those are the same questions Renton Police are trying to answer. Jamar's body was found in the middle of the minivan underneath some car seats. Investigators found some female DNA in the Caravan that they haven't been able to match to anyone and they are hoping someone can tell them where he went on July 2nd or if anyone saw him before July 6th.

"His cell phone was inactive and we just have no idea what happened after that," said Commander Dave Leibman.

Detectives believe he was killed somewhere else and then driven to Renton.

"It took somebody to run up on this big black guy and it took more than one person," said Patsy.

So, who had a beef with him?

"Well, that`s a good question and one we would definitely like to hear and if anybody knows of any problems Mr. Bovan had with anybody, we definitely want to hear about that," said Leibman.

Jamar's family recently celebrated his 41st birthday.

"He was a loving man and he did not deserve this...at all. I need closure. He needs closure," said his son Jamari Bovan.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward if you have information that leads to an arrest in the case. Use the P3 Tips App on your phone or call 1-800-222-tips. It's anonymous. You can also submit the info at http://www.p3tips.com.

Double Murder Mystery: Detectives think half-decade-old shootings of two friends could be professional hit

double murderPUYALLUP — Next month will mark five years since a pair of Puyallup men were killed by what police believe could be a professional hit.

Behind the crime scene tape, what detectives didn’t find inside a Puyallup home told them a lot about the killer. “It looked like evidence had been removed or an attempt had been made to destroy the evidence inside the house,” said Pierce County Sheriff Det. Brian Lund.

Travis Dennis and his friend Jeffrey Poling were both discovered inside the same room, shot to death. Det. Lund explains, “At about 8:00pm on Monday, May 28th 2012, the parents of one of the victims had lost contact and they came over here to check on them and discovered them inside the house.”

Detectives believe whoever killed the men were not strangers. “The house appeared to be locked from the inside. All the shades were pulled. It appeared that whoever came into the house, the suspects were let in the house, possibly by the victim or someone else,” Lund recalled.

Travis was Melani Carchano’s only son. She says his behavior had recently become strange. "Two years before he was murdered, I noticed a major change in my son,” Carchano explained. It was drugs. She tried her best to save him during their last conversation. “I was just like Travis, there’s something going on. You’ve got to talk to mom, please. And he just said ,’I love you mom’. Everything’s going to be okay. But I knew when he walked out that something just didn’t feel right.”

A few days later, he was dead.

Police say his killer or killers took their time inside the house, leading them to believe this may have not been a first murder for the suspects. “It doesn’t appear to us like they were in a hurry to leave, so it could be somebody who has done this in the past,” Lund said.

Investigators and the victim’s families are certain that the people responsible have talked and someone knows who did this, and hope they'll finally come forward with what they know. “We believe the people that were around Travis or had dealings with him, somebody knows something, but is fearful,” Lund adds. Carchano pleads for those people to tell what they know, “Please, if you know anything, no matter how big or how small it may be, please come forward.”

Investigators spent two days processing the crime scene and have evidence that could lead to the killer or killers -- they just need your help giving them another piece to this puzzle.

If you know anything that can help solve this double murder, call an anonymous tip into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

Justice for Nicole: 5 years after deadly Pioneer Square shooting — her killer is still on the street

nicole westbrookKILLER WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Five years after newly arrived Seattle resident Nicole Westbrook was shot dead in Pioneer Square, police are still waiting on that one good tip to identify her killer.

A year after her murder, Nicole’s aunt Joyce visited the tree near where she was killed at 2nd and Jackson on April 22, 2012. The corner had been decorated with ribbons. Years later, there’s no visible reminder, but the pain of losing her hasn’t faded. “I just want them to think even for a moment about Nicole,” Joyce said in 2013.

Nicole was killed just a few weeks after coming to Seattle for culinary school. “She was so excited to move here, so being here a year later without her. It’s difficult,” Joyce said.

Police say she was a victim of a random shooting and they still want to know who was in a white car at the scene.

“We still need information from the public and like we’ve said many, many times before, somebody knows something,” said former Seattle Police Dep. Chief Nick Metz in 2014. Those words still echo true today.

Her family is still in pain and we’ll never solve that pain completely, but to at least to give them some closure in knowing that the people who are responsible have been brought to justice would just go a really long way toward their healing. It would also help the community know that they’re just a bit safer with them off the streets.

Nicole’s aunt hopes people will be reminded there’s still a killer on the loose. “I would hate for this to happen to someone else and for families to experience what my sister has had to go through this last year,” Joyce said.

If you have information on Nicole’s murder, call the detectives at 206-233-5000, or an anonymous tip into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

From there, police say the victim and Miron struggled for the gun and a fight broke out between all three victims and Miron’s crew. FUGITIVE CAPTURED April 22, 2017 —
Lynnwood Police say a repeat bank robbery suspect we dubbed the ‘Beer Hat Bandit’ has been arrested after detectives figured out he’d reloaded an Orca bus card at a grocery station prior to the second robbery he’s suspected of.

Lynnwood Police say detectives tracked the Orca card to a bank card and subsequent search warrants identified a name of a possible suspect. Detectives then did surveillance on a house, spotted the suspect and arrested him without incident on Saturday and booked him into the Snohomish County Jail.

Lynnwood Police say the suspect admitted to the robberies.

We’re not naming him until official charges are filed.FUGITIVE WANTED IN LYNNWOOD April 14, 2017 —
Lynnwood police say they have a repeat bank robber who needs to be stopped.

He wore a trucker-style hat with the Miller Lite beer logo on it when he hit the Chase Bank at 175th and Highway 99 on Tuesday — so we’re dubbing him the “Beer Hat Bandit.”

Detectives think he’s the same guy here who wore a black hoodie when he struck the same bank in early February.

In both he showed the teller a demand note, grabbed the cash, and took off.

Detectives say he's bold and getting more comfortable -- threatening he had a gun the first time, but not mentioning a weapon on Tuesday. "Obviously, we don't like anyone who comes up here and robs banks, but to hit the same branch twice in a couple of months, we need to get this guy off the streets and especially the concern that if he does have a weapon, we don't want anyone to get shot or injured,” said Lynnwood Police Det. William Koonce. “We have good facial shots of him, so I think people out there who know him will be able to recognize him and get a hold of us."

If you know his name, a $1,000 cash reward is yours.

Just call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

Accused shooter, Alrick Hollingsworth, pleaded not guilty in court on Monday.

He continues to be held on $1 million bail.

————————-

FUGITIVE CAPTURED April 18, 2017 —
Seattle Police say shooting suspect, Alrick Hollingsworth, was arrested on Tuesday night and booked into the King County Jail.

Detectives say a youth counselor who knows Hollingsworth convinced him to surrender.

He’s being held on $1 million bail.

FUGITIVE UPDATE March 31, 2017 —
Seattle Police detectives say there is new information on the hunt for Alrick Hollingsworth, who’s accused of firing into a crowd of people in downtown Seattle.

“The update is that he’s been seen in the the Kent area,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “So, that tells us that he’s either got friends over there, or it’s somewhere he’s hiding. He definitely has been there. He’s been spotted, so we need your help. If you know anywhere this guy’s located, or who he’s running with, you need to call the hotline and right away.”

FUGITIVE WANTED IN SEATTLE November 23, 2016 –
It was a typical Wednesday night at a bus stop near Third Avenue and Pine Street in Westlake on November 9 when suddenly…

“You’ll actually see this suspect raise his hand, turn his back, and as he’s walking backwards he’s firing rounds into the crowd,” said Myrle Carner, of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

People duck and try to hide after hearing the gunshots.  Everyone except for the suspect, who police say is 18-year-old Alrick Hollingsworth Jr., running down the sidewalk in the middle of your screen from the 7-Eleven to the McDonald’s.

“There’s even small children down the way,” said Carner.

You can see a woman shielding the child as the suspect rounds the corner at Third Avenue and Pine Street.

“At one point, he’s running by police officers who are running toward the scene who still don’t have a suspect description,” said Carner.

Police say the suspect came rushing through Westlake, took off his jacket, and put it in a trash can. They recovered it as evidence.

“He’s trying to do a lot of things to get away,” said Carner.

In his wake…

“A lot of people down, a lot of people crying, a lot of people in shock,” said 7-Eleven manager Sharon Keith.

We spoke to Keith shortly after the shooting.

“It sounded like firecrackers and I knew it was gunshots and I told everybody to get down and I locked the doors and looked out and I saw multiple people down, bleeding,” said Keith.

One of the men down was 26-year-old Jesse Baker, who was taken to Harborview Medical Center with the other four victims.  At the time, he was in bad shape and unable to talk after being shot in the neck and back.

“All I knew was that my brother was down there and he was fighting for his life,” said the victim’s sister, Rayya Baker.

But now, his family says he's out of the hospital, back home, and recovering just in time for Thanksgiving.

“We’re fortunate we’re not talking about a homicide,” said Carner.

Even though Hollingsworth has no criminal record, because of the brazen act, he has a $1 million outstanding warrant for his arrest because, police say,  he’s armed and dangerous.

“We’re going to pay you a good chunk of cash to turn this guy in.  He should not be on the street,” said Carner.

If you know where he's hiding, call an anonymous tip into:

Seattle police issue warning for women walking alone after attacks

$

SEATTLE – Seattle Police want you to be on the lookout for a man who they say assaulted one — perhaps more — women outside their apartments in the past two months.

Police say he’s a white man in his late 20s or 30s with strawberry blonde hair. They’re describing him as a ‘hipster.’  It may be the same man caught in surveillance video walking into an Elliott Avenue apartment right after his alleged victim.

HIPSTER SUSPECT

You can see a woman heading inside with a shopping bag and then a strange man catches the door and follows her. Seattle Police say the suspect later grabs the woman and throws her to the ground. A neighbor on the same floor heard the struggle and intervened.

“If you feel you’re being followed, you have that sense, go where there’s a lot of people and you’re screaming and you’re not sure,” said Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound's Myrle Carner.

The first attacker may be the same man seen in a sketch.  Police say six weeks after the first attack, the man was following a woman home off E. Terrace Street at 11th Avenue just two weeks ago.

“She just said I heard footsteps coming quick. Next thing she knows she’s on the ground and he’s reaching to pull her pants off,” said Carner.

Then someone driving by noticed the struggle.

“A van pulls up with a couple ladies in it. They honk the horn enough to distract the suspect. He looks up and they yell at the victim are you alright? And she says no!  And at this point the suspect gets up and takes off,” said Carner.

Both women were being followed and both were grabbed from behind.  Self-defense instructor Ben Olmsted says in that case, protect your neck.

“Once you feel the choke come around you’ve got to drop your center of gravity, get low and then grab the elbow and pull that elbow into your chest. Pull down on it this way into your chest and you’re going to be fighting to get your chin down so that I don’t start collapsing your chordates,” said Olmsted.

Olmsted teaches people how to fight back at Insights Training Center.  Police say the woman attacked on April 17 off E. Terrace Street screamed, scratched and fought.

“When the fight’s on, there’s no more decision-making. You’re fighting to end the fight. You don’t want to stick around and find out what’s going to happen next,” said Olmsted.

The next step in these cases is that police want your help to get this man or these men off the street.

“The aggressive behavior…it isn’t like he’s trying be behind bushes. He’s not in a park. He’s in broad daylight right out in the open and he attacks this gal,” said Carner.

If you know the name of the person in the surveillance video or photos, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS for up to $1,000 reward.

WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY —
Seems he needed a cup of joe so bad — Pierce County detectives say he strolled into the South Hill Kohl’s store and stole a coffee maker.

Now, detectives need to know his name and think ‘five-fingered discounts’ could be how he’s making a living.

“Even though it was only a $200 coffee maker he ran out of the store with that doesn’t mean he’s not out doing it on a daily basis,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer. “So, even though the dollar amount may not seem high, somebody that does this could be doing it daily, so we want to put an end to it and sometimes it could be a lot more theft than just a $200 coffee machine and somebody that’s going to continue to do this will continue until they get caught.”

If you can tell Pierce County detectives this coffee maker crook’s name, Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

It’s guaranteed to be anonymous and you could be in line for up to a $1,000 cash reward if your information to Crime Stoppers leads to his arrest.

Tacoma police need your help catching a threatening bank robber.

That black hole where his face is hiding isn’t going to help identify him, but detectives hope the blue hoodie he wore will: It has a huge, white Air Jordan logo on the front.

Detectives say he came in running into the Wells Fargo on N. 26th St. and Pearl St. on Friday, April 7th — yelling at the tellers to give him money, snatching the cash and taking off in a white vehicle that was parked nearby.

They think he’s about 5’9”, with a medium to heavy build and again — wearing that blue Air Jordan hoodie.

If you recognize it, or know anything that could lead Tacoma detectives to knowing his name, Crime Stoppers will give you a guaranteed $1,000 cash reward.

‘Grandparent Scam’ suspect: Help ID man connected to despicable, well-known ploy that preys on loving elders

WANTED IN DUVALL —
I’m sick of it: Lowlife scam artists preying on loving grandparents to make a buck.

They can do it from anywhere around the country or the world and are usually untraceable — until now: Duvall Police say identifying this man could lead to the arrest of at least one of these heartless scammers.

He was caught on camera at a target in Kent cashing-in on $3,000 of a grandfather’s money — who had forked it over in fear for his grandson’s freedom.

“There`s an elderly gentleman in Duvall that received a call from someone saying they were a police officer from an agency in Florida, that they had stopped his grandson on a traffic stop. In order for his grandson to get bailed out of jail cause Marijuana was found on him, he had to send him $3,000,” explains Duvall Police Ofc. Brandon Rhodes.

It was all a lie.

The victim’s grandson was just fine.

From there, which is the normal MO for this scam, the crook on the other side of the phone talked the victim into buying gift cards, then called back to have him read off the codes on the cards. The guy whose name detectives need redeemed two cards that were likely cloned at the Kent Target that very same day, Thursday, January 26th.

Detectives think the suspect is Asian, in his 20’s and wore glasses.

He took off in a vehicle detectives thing could be an Infiniti FX50.

“They`re just preying on people`s vulnerabilities especially when you are talking about elderly people and their grandsons or grandchildren, they`re concerned and want to help them out right away so it`s an easy way to prey on elderly people,” adds Det. Rhodes.

So remember to tell your grandparents that there is absolutely no police department or law enforcement agency in the world that is going to call and ask for money— especially to bail out a grandchild or a loved one.

If this happens to you — hang up and call your loved one yourself to confirm they’re safe — then call police and tell them about the scam.

If you know this suspect’s name, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

Let’s get this lowlife identified so cops can catch him and stop him from ever preying on a loving grandparent again.
