SEATAC –– King County Sheriff’s deputies and Tacoma Police are asking for the public’s help to find Breann Coleman aka ‘Bre Baby’.  She has a $50,000 warrant for her arrest after being charged with Robbery 2nd degree.

Detectives say she and two other people who have already been arrested attacked and robbed a man of $300 at a SeaTac motel. At one point, the victim describes somebody putting their hand over his face and he’s losing the ability to breathe and actually starts to see stars,” said Det. Jessica Santos about Coleman’s role in the robbery. She is also wanted in Tacoma where police say she stole a man’s car. “They met at a convenience store in the city of Tacoma, decided they wanted to be friends, had a few drinks. He fell asleep and when he woke up his vehicle was gone,” said Tacoma Police Officer Shelbie Boyd. Detectives say Coleman may be motel-hopping. “We want her bad. It’s sad that you meet someone, you think you’re friends, you hang out for a bit and next thing you know you’re being stolen from, so no we don’t want more victims of this nature in the city of Tacoma,” said Officer Boyd.

Coleman’s criminal history includes two convictions for Taking a Vehicle without Permission, Bail Jumping, Possession of Stolen Property, Assault 4th Degree, False Statement, Possession of Another Identity and Attempted Theft Third.

If you can tell detectives where to find Coleman, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App on your phone. It`s anonymous and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to her arrest.

North Seattle couple has 2 vehicles stolen in 4 days

SEATTLE – A North Seattle couple is devastated after they had two vehicles stolen within a week.

Inside, one of them was the marriage license they need for their ceremony on Saturday.

Jonathon Montano says he rushed home in his work truck to take his fiancee to the hospital because of an emergency. When they got back to their home on East Greenlake Dr. N, someone stole his red 1991 Mazda B2200 pickup with WA license plate C44432. Inside was $10,000 in tools Montano needs for his frost and insulation business.

“It’s a huge setback. I also had tools from my previous employment where I was an auto body technician. I was kind of freaking out. I was like where’s my car,” said Montano.

The couple borrowed a brown 1985 Toyota Camry from his fiancee’s dad. When they came out Sunday morning to walk their dog, that car was missing too.

“I don’t know what’s going on around here. Two in four days. I am running out of options here so,” said Montano.

They’ve started a GoFundMe account to replace the tools. If you would like to donate, here is the link: https://www.gofundme.com/Montanotruck

If you spot the red Mazda truck or know who took it, call 911 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can also submit the information by using the P3 Tips App on your smart phone.

WANTED IN KING COUNTY — King County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for your help to find 26-year-old Arbie Melvin who is accused of assaulting a woman in Kent by punching her in the jaw and head with a closed fist.

The victim could not call 911 because he smashed her phone. Police say a witness called police after seeing Melvin grabbing the victim in the parking lot of her apartment but Melvin ran off before officers arrived.

He was arrested the next day when he returned to the scene but has since not shown up for his court hearings so a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. “He’s got a couple of felony no contact order violations against his girlfriend that he has been found guilty of but didn’t show up for sentencing,” said. King County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Houck.

Melvin is 6 feet tall, 160lbs, with blue eyes. His criminal history includes Theft of a Firearm and Violation of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order.  “He seems to be a tough guy with his girlfriend but when he deals with police, he’s cooperative,” said Sgt. Houck.

He has been couch surfing and bouncing back and forth between Puyallup, Kent and Everett.

Melvin is known to hang out at skate parks and often pawns items along Highway 99 and at the Cash America stores.  “He’s stolen a few things and there’s been some property crimes he’s committed against people so he could be a nuisance to the general public as well,” said Sgt. Houck.

If you can tell deputies where to find him, submit a tip to Crime Stoppers by using the P3 Tips app on your phone or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS. It is anonymous and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 being offered for any information that leads to his arrest.

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police detectives need the public’s help to identify this suspect believed to be targeting senior citizens.

On June 6, the suspect burglarized a 90-year-old woman’s home at the Tahoma Terrace Apartments on South Union Avenue by posing as a maintenance worker. He told the victim he was there there to sweep the patio, then entered her apartment and stole jewelry, cash, a cell phone and prescription medications, police said.

“We’re worried that one of the citizens who he is stealing from may get hurt by being surprised someone is in their house,” said officer Loretta Cool.

The suspect approached several other residents and told them he was there to service their air conditioning. He is believed to be responsible for similar incidents on July 16 at the Brookdale Allenmore Independent Living Facility on South Union Avenue, and on August 6 at the True Vine Apartments on South Mason Avenue in Tacoma.

He appears to be in his 30s or 40s, approximately 6’ tall, medium build, bald and has a thick mustache. During one of the burglaries he was seen leaving in a black sedan.

If you know his name, call Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to his arrest.

CAPTURED: Curtis Sell arrested; convicted child rapist suspected of breaking into homes while naked, stealing women’s underwear

CAPTURED IN PIERCE COUNTY Aug. 22, 2017 —
Lakewood police officers arrested a sex offender who they suspect is the naked man entering people’s homes and burglarizing some of them.

Police said they acted on a Crimestoppers tip and found Curtis Sell hiding in the attic of a home around 1 a.m. Tuesday. He had an outstanding felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.

Sell was booked into the Pierce County Jail. He has also been charged with 3 counts of residential burglary. Arraignment for those charges is scheduled for Wednesday.

“The Lakewood Police Department would like to thank Tacoma/Pierce County Crimestoppers and Washington’s Most Wanted for their help in this case,” said Lt. Chris Lawler. “Along with the US Marshals led Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, who early on offered assistance in looking for Sell and chased down several tips.”

WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY Aug. 11, 2017 —
Lakewood Police, Pierce County detectives and the U.S. Marshal’s Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force are searching for a sex offender who they suspect is the naked man entering people’s homes and burglarizing some of them.

Police identified the suspect as Curtis Sell, 51, who is currently transient and has an outstanding felony warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.

Police said they received a report of a naked man trying to enter a home through a window on 111th Street Southwest early Wednesday morning. Witnesses said he ran off when they yelled at him. He was described as a white, slim man in his 50s with thinning hair.

A few hours later, a woman came home to find a naked man in her bedroom who was trying on her underwear. She reported he calmly left the home naked, wearing only black and white tennis shoes.

In another incident, a woman woke up to find a naked man standing by her bed with a condom on and wearing one of her belts. When confronted, the man fled on foot naked.

On Wednesday afternoon, a person came home -- again on  11th Street Southwest -- to find someone had entered their home via a sliding glass window. The home was ransacked, and the suspect seen fleeing the scene matched the description of the other incidents, except this time he was wearing a blue tank top, shorts and a laptop bag.

"We believe a related incident occurred around midnight last night where it was reported a naked male was walking around the area of 108th and Lakeview," the police said in a news release.

A "camp" was found on Lakeview that police believe belongs to the suspect. Investigators found a yellow bicycle, some women's underwear and a cell phone. Pictures of the suspect were found on the found showing him wearing women's underwear.

"This guy's on another level of danger," said Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer. "When he's breaking into people's houses that are occupied and the female person is at home and trying on their underwear and doing other strange things, this is somebody that's very brazen and we need to get caught, before he hurts somebody. In the past, he's also used drugs on his victims and he's been convicted multiple times, so this is somebody who obviously can't control himself and we believe is a danger and we'd like to get him caught sooner than later."

Police ask if anyone in the area comes home and finds an open door or window, please call 911 so officers can respond to check the residence. They also urge residents to do the best to secure their homes during the heat wave.

If you know where Curtis Sell is, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers.

Sex offender charged with naked burglaries in Lakewood

TACOMA, Wash. — Curtis Sell, 51, who was already wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, was charged Wednesday with three counts of burglary with sexual motivation for allegedly entering Lakewood apartments in the nude and running off with various items.

“Obviously, the defendant has some issues,” Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said. “We don’t know if it’s drugs, alcohol, mental health or some combination.”

On August 2, police were called to an apartment building in Lakewood. When they arrived, they spoke with a woman, who told officers she awoke to a naked man she later identified as Sell removing the fan from her bedroom window. She began to scream and her boyfriend came into the room. She said Sell seemed startled, scooted back out of the window, and ran away.

That morning, investigators were also called to two other residences in the same complex and a neighboring complex where two other women had similar stories. The man was wearing only a condom in one instance, only a bra in the other.

In all three instances, the women positively identified Sell from a photo lineup, authorities said. All three women said Sell seemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Bail was set at $300,000.

Sell was also charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Bail for that offense is $150,000.

‘Fat Stack Bandit:’ Help ID smooth-talking casino crook seen stealing cash from teller’s drawer

$

LAKEWOOD — Take a good look at this the suspect we’re calling the ‘Fat Stack Bandit’ after he stole $3,500 from Chips Casino in Lakewood, on July 31st.

Fortunately, it was all caught on surveillance video and now agents with the Washington State Gambling Commission are hoping you know his name.

Watch the video below and prepare to be entertained and awed at the boldness shown by the suspect:

The theft begins with the suspect walking up to the teller to change a $100 bill and starts pouring on the charm, saying to the teller, "Hey! Hey! If you need me to borrow some of that money for you, I will. I'll hold it for you baby."

"What's interesting about this case is that not only do we have video of the crime but we have audio as well,” said Heather Songer with the Washington State Gambling Commission.

You can clearly hear him as he continues to chat up the clerk like a real smooth talker. "So, if you’re not married, do you want to get married?” The teller says no, but he doesn’t give up. “I'm going to St. Croix next week. Wanna come with me? I know this is going to sound weird but I have a fetish for older women. I've never dated a girl my age. No listen. I'm serious. Are we being recorded here? That's fine. If they pay attention they might learn something, ok?

What he's really doing is eyeballing the cash he can see in the drawer, that's when a woman walks up next to him and when the clerk turns her back you can hear him telling her to steal the money in the drawer. She won’t do it, so he tells her to move aside so he can do it himself, but doesn’t strike right away, first saying to the teller, “I'm still hear waiting for my response. I'm not going anywhere.” Finally, when the teller turns her back one more time, you see him slowly stretch out his arm and grab a huge stack of cash before taking off.

“The suspect was cool, calm and collected during the entire incident which leads us to believe this probably isn't the first time he's pulled a stunt like this and unless he's caught, it probably won't be his last,” said Songer.

Fortunately, casino cameras got a good look at him. "The suspect in the surveillance video actually has a pretty identifiable hat that he wears during the crime. We are hoping somebody will put that together with his face, probably his voice and get him identified,” adds Songer.

If you know who the ‘Fat Stack Bandit” is, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information. It’s anonymous and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to his arrest.

CAPTURED: WMW viewer tips ID felon accused of stealing handguns from SUV at Bruno Mars concert

TACOMA -- Aug. 25, 2017  Pierce County Prosecutors have charged a suspect accused of stealing a backpack with a 40 caliber pistol, 9mm pistol, four rifle magazines, cologne and a rifle stand from an SUV parked near the Tacoma Dome for the Bruno Mars concert on July 24th.  Travis Henderson is being held on $750,000 bail for 2 counts of Theft of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the 2nd Degree, Trafficking in Stolen Property in the 1st Degree, Theft in the 3rd Degree and Vehicle Prowling in the 2nd Degree.

Tacoma Police say he was identified from surveillance video by anonymous Washington's Most Wanted viewer tips to Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County.  "Henderson is a convicted felon who has spent time in prison for property crime and Identity Theft.  He was arrested as he met his DOC officer in Lakewood," said Officer Loretta Cool with Tacoma Police.  Detectives learned Henderson had sold the two weapons for $500. They contacted the buyer who brought the handguns to Tacoma Police headquarters.

Henderson is WMW Capture #912.

TACOMA, Wash. -- Tacoma Police are asking for the public’s help to ID a car prowl suspect who stole a handgun out of an SUV during the Bruno Mars concert on July 24.

“Bad guys know there's going to be a lot of cars in this area, big concert going on, they’re going to find something in at least one of these cars they’re breaking into,” said Officer Shelbie Boyd with Tacoma Police.

The vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of East 25th street just North of the Tacoma Dome. The theft was captured on surveillance camera at a nearby business. "

"What we're looking for here is a white or Hispanic male with dark brown hair. Probably about 25 to 35 years old. They appear to have gotten into the car by using a jiggle key or a shaved key,” said Officer Boyd.

The suspect removed a range bag from inside the car that contained the weapon and some ammo.

"I would never recommend storing guns, ammo, any type of weaponry in a car because a law abiding, gun holding citizen has now just given potentially a dangerous weapon to somebody who does not have good intentions for that gun,” said Officer Boyd.

Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and charges in the case. If you know the suspect or can help officers locate him, call the hot line anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Gas station gunman: Video shows suspect drive over victim’s foot, shoot him in leg

WANTED IN MOUNTLAKE TERRACE —
If somebody runs over your foot with their car, you might hope there would be an apology at least right?

Well, detectives say a driver at a Mountlake Terrace gas station chose to shoot the victim in the leg instead of saying sorry.

Watch below, as cell phone video from a witness shows the shooting that the victim somehow survived.

“Subject came driving into the Shell gas station on 66th Ave. W. and 220th in Mountlake Terrace and he came in to get gas, paid $15 worth of gas,” said Mountlake Terrace Det. Sgt. Pat Lowe. “After he got done he was exiting to leave and he got blocked from leaving on 66th Ave. by a stranded motorist, so he decided to back up and when he did that he ran over the foot of a citizen who was just walking through the lot. The suspect didn’t appear that he was going to stop, so the citizen went around to confront this person as why he ran over his foot and when the citizen approached the driver’s door a confrontation broke out. Our suspect then displayed a handgun and fired three rounds at our victim, striking him. Our suspect then decided to flee, without stopping on 66th Ave. W. southbound. It’s very concerning, you know, Mountlake Terrace is really a safe, small town and so, when we have something like this in our town it’s very concerning. We don’t want someone out there who is shooting people, so I don’t think anyone would want that in their city and I don’t know what provoked this gentleman to do that, maybe he thought it was a self-defense issue, but if that was it, he should stop and talk with us and give us his side of the story.”

Detectives think drugs or alcohol may be a reason he didn't stick around to talk, because you see him staggering a bit on the video as he's inside paying the clerk for that $15 bucks of gas. That's where you get a good look at his face and the Hawaiian shirt he wore.

Detectives think he's 5’7” to 5’10”, with cropped hair, or possibly bald and has tattoos on both arms.

They think the SUV he drove is a late model, possibly 2011-2017 black or dark-blue BMW X5 OR X6.

The victim survived, but detectives say he’s still really scared knowing the man who shot him has not been caught.

If you recognize the suspect, or his SUV, or know anything at all that can help Mountlake Terrace Police find him, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information. It’s anonymous and you’ll get a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to his arrest.

WANTED IN YAKIMA COUNTY —
Detectives say a massive, underage, alcohol-fueled party near Mabton ended in gunfire and death on August 13th.

And, the “armed and dangerous” shooter still needs to be found.

Detectives say the suspect is Juan Reyna, who’s known to go by ‘Luis.’

He’s just 16 years old — and now an accused killer.

Just watch and listen to the cell phone video below as 16 shots ring out during a fight that turned the party into pure chaos.

Reyna’s accused of shooting two victims, killing one of them.

Detectives say Reyna is a known gang member who's no stranger to the law: Convicted of robbery and the suspect in other drug, theft and robbery cases.

Detectives say the gun has not been recovered, so Reyna should definitely be considered "armed and dangerous."

He has a $1 million dollar murder warrant for his arrest.

If you know where he's hiding, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

It's anonymous -- you never have to give your name -- and you'll get up to a $1,000 cash reward.

Eddie Nagan: Kent fugitive wanted in several ‘OfferUp’ armed robberies

WANTED IN KENT —
Lured through a popular buy-sell app: Kent police say two men thought they were meeting-up to buy an iPhone 6. Instead — they’re confronted by a crew of crooks ready to rob them at gunpoint.

The accused gunman, Eddie Nagan, was quickly arrested near the scene of one of the robberies where officers say they saw him throwing a .40 semi-automatic pistol into some bushes.

But now Nagan is wanted again after pleading guilty and then not showing up to court for his sentencing.

“Interesting enough, once Eddie was arrested initially for the ‘OfferUp’ robberies, we’ve had no more, so that tells you, we were looking at him for five or six different robberies involving ‘OfferUp’ and there are probably many more that maybe not were even reported,” said Kent Police Det. Melanie Robinson. “I really want to get this guy off the streets. He needs to be held accountable for what he did. He has taken people’s safety net and taken advantage of them in a manner that will affect them forever. Putting a gun at somebody’s head and stealing their money and items, I don’t think you’ll ever be the same after something like that happens to you.”

Detectives say this crime is another alarming reminder for people to stay safe when using apps to buy stuff from strangers through sites like ‘OfferUp,’ ‘LetGo,” and ‘Craigslist.’ “Be aware of your surroundings. Make good decisions. Go with your gut instinct, if something seems too good to be true it generally is. If you’re looking at an item you’d like to purchase and you want to meet up somewhere, make it a safe place, make it a law enforcement agency. I, myself, use ‘OfferUp’ and I always go to a law enforcement agency. If that person doesn’t want to go with you, or meet you at that location, that’s a clue and that’s a red flag that this might be somebody that’s going to take advantage of you.”

Eddie Nagan is 19 years old, 6’0” and weighs 160 pounds.

If you know where he’s hiding, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). It’s anonymous and you’ll get a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to his arrest.

Help ID suspects who beat, robbed nurse walking home from dinner in Capitol Hill

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Take a look at the images from cell phone video.

Seattle police say the two suspects seen on it attacked, beat and robbed a woman in Capitol Hill.

The victim was walking home from dinner when they jumped her on Boylston Ave. She didn’t hear them come up from behind her, because she’s deaf in her right ear after having surgery for a tumor near her brain.

“All of a sudden, two guys came from behind me and grabbed me and pushed me, kind of threw me to the sidewalk and hit me in the face and in the stomach and they took my watch and phone. I’m 115 pounds. I’m not a really large individual so it wouldn’t have taken two guys to wrestle me to the ground and hit me over and over. I would have just given them whatever.”

Several witnesses heard her screaming and one of them followed the two suspects. He was able to get cell phone video of the men who attacked her and their vehicle. Detectives used the license plate to track down the car and the driver who was arrested, but they have no idea who the other two suspects are and that's where you come in. “As you look at the video you will see someone in a yellow sweatshirt and you'll see someone dressed in red. It's unclear whether it's a sweatshirt, or just a red pullover but these two suspects have not been identified and we need to know who they are, so take a good look at the vehicle. Disregard the vehicle because we've already recovered it. We just need to know who these two guys are, because they are the two who assaulted the female victim,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “But come on, I mean this makes us sick. It ought to make you sick and it ought to make you pay attention to the video because she's already been traumatized by brain surgery. Why does an assault like this have to take place? Makes no sense."

The victim says she is grateful to everyone who came up and helped her after she was beaten and she is staying positive, but is worried about who else these two guys are going to attack.

If you recognize either of them, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Just call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App on your phone.

It is guaranteed to be anonymous.

CAPTURE UPDATE August 29, 2017 —
Fircrest Police have arrested the suspect accused of using a pellet gun to shoot out the windows and door of Orchard Cleaners in April before masturbating on a photo of a young girl.

Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist charged 20-year-old David Burlak of Tacoma with Burglary in the Second Degree with Sexual Motivation and Malicious Mischief in the Second Degree.

Fircrest Police say he was identified by Washington’s Most Wanted viewer tips to Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County.

The damage to Orchard Cleaners cost $4,130.95 to repair.

Detectives say Burlak admitted he was the suspect on surveillance video and said he was walking home when he decided to shoot out the front door and window. He told officers he took about $3 in change from a bowl by the cash register.  As for the deviant behavior, Burlak told detectives it was stupid and he didn’t know why he committed the crimes.

He is in jail now, but is scheduled to be released on personal recognizance and will be on electronic home monitoring until his trial on October 17th.

Burlak is WMW Capture #913 thanks to tips from Washington’s Most Wanted viewers.

—————–

FUGITIVE WANTED IN FIRCREST May 5, 2017 —
Violent and perverted: Those are two of the best words to describe a creepy burglary suspect caught on camera, who Fircrest Police are trying to identify.

Out of the thousands of cases I’ve asked for your help with over the last 9 years, he is right near the top of the most disturbed and he has the owners of a small business wondering why they were targeted not once, but twice.

Watch the video and keep your eye on the door window as a burglar walks by and shoots at the glass last week at Orchard Cleaners in Fircrest. “It`s a little scary, because watching the surveillance tapes you could see him pull out a silver pistol, which we think might be a BB gun, but still it`s a weapon that he pulled out and sprayed shots all over the front of the store,” says the business owner’s son. He doesn’t want his, or his mom’s faces shown for their safety, because two nights later, the same suspect returned. “He used a high-powered BB gun to break the windows,” describes Det. Ed Troyer with Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County. “He went into the business multiple times to steal money and whatever else wasn`t tied down”

The video shows the suspect kicking out the remaining glass and then firing another shot at the window. He then backs-off for a few moments to see if anybody is coming and returns to climb inside. He continues into the store and jumps up to knock down a surveillance camera, but doesn't realize he is still being recorded. Fortunately, this is where you get a great look at his face.

The vandalism and break-in alone would put him on Washington's Most Wanted -- but it's what else police say he did that puts him at the top of our list: In the video, you can see him start to unzip his pants. "He also did some sexually deviant activity with a family photo, which is pretty disturbing and for that particular reason we really want to get this guy identified, because it puts him up at a different level of danger if somebody were to have come across him, or if somebody was actually in the business, or home when this particular burglar enters. We definitely want to get him identified,” says Det. Troyer.

The victim’s sense of security has been stolen by this sick creep. “After spending the last week with her, I can`t find anybody who would have anything against her at all. There is absolutely no reason why she should be targeted. She`s obviously distraught. She seems to be putting up a strong front, but when I come in the morning to join her she`s got it all locked up, you can see the look of fear in her face."

Fircrest Police are hoping somebody can identify this suspect who could now be charged with burglary with sexual motivation that comes with an enhanced prison sentence.

“We have pictures of him, but we don`t know who he is and neither do victim businesses, or people in the area, so again, this is one of those times where we`re going to ask the public for help to try and get this suspect identified and we definitely want to get him identified before he does it again,” Troyer adds.

Detectives think the suspect is white and in his late teens or early 20’s. It seems to me he has some scraggly, dark hair on his lip and his chin.

Keep an eye out for him around S. Orchard St. in Fircrest.

If you can tell detectives his name, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App.

It’s guaranteed to be anonymous.

Paul Hensel has been out posting fliers along the Interurban Trail behind his home in the 23700 block of 74th Avenue offering a $3,000 reward for tips to identify the suspect who mutilated and killed Mickey.

“The way he went, it was so violent and he had to have been scared,” said Hensel.

Hensel said he was sitting inside just 20 yards away with the door cracked open.

"We didn't hear anything. We think he was waiting in the yard," Hensel said of the attacker.

Mickey was a little 10 1/2-pound dog that loved everyone he met. Hensel says he liked to bark at imaginary animals.

"We've had neighbors come up in tears when they found out about it," said Hensel.

Edmonds Police initially increased patrols in the area but believe Mickey's killing is an isolated incident. Still, they are warning people to keep a close eye on their pets and asking for leads on any suspicious people on the Interurban Trail.

"If anybody knows someone who may have a tendency to hurt animals or so forth, that's something we would like to know about. That's something that would be helpful information and point us in the right direction," said Sgt. Shane Hawley.

So, how could somebody be so cruel?

Pasado's Safe Haven is funding a third of the reward because they know this behavior will escalate and get worse.

"In our experience investigating hundreds of animal cruelty cases, the kind of person who did this is most likely a white male, potentially in their 20s or 30s and they've likely done this cruel or intentional behavior before," said Executive Director Laura Henderson.

If you have any information that can help solve this case or identify a suspect, call 911 or Edmonds Police at
