REDMOND, Wash. — Redmond police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in the theft of a BMC Team Machine SLR 01 with Ultegra electronic shifting (Di2) high-end road bike worth $6,299 from Element Cycles on 160th Avenue NE.

The theft occurred during a sale over Labor Day weekend.

“Looks like he really put a lot of thought into it. I mean he was asking the sales people a lot of questions. He didn’t take the first bike that he rode. He brought two of them back before he took the third one,” said Public Information Officer Andrea Wolf-Buck with Redmond Police.

Missing Attachment Missing Attachment Missing Attachment Missing Attachment Missing Attachment Missing Attachment Missing Attachment

Because the store clerks were so busy dealing with more customers than they had anticipated, they forgot to get the suspect’s ID and credit card as security.

“I think the thieves took advantage of that. We did have a staff member not follow protocol that created an environment where this could happen but regardless, when things are very busy that's when thieves strike. It’s never happened before. It won’t happen again,” said General Manager Lorraine Wright.

They have been searching different buy-sell apps and websites in case the thief tries to unload the bike for cash.

“It’s a sad state but Seattle has a lot of bike thieves and bike theft groups so these people might be affiliated with that,” said Wright.

Police describe the suspect as white, with some facial hair, an athletic build and wearing a V-neck white T-shirt, dark skinny pants and white shoes. Police say he was with a thin blonde-haired woman in khaki shorts and a light-colored T-shirt who was driving a silver 4-door Lexus.  The video is too blurry to make out the license plate number on the vehicle though crime analysts are working on it.

“You can tell by the footage that the guy and his girlfriend planned this.  They weren’t serious shoppers they were here to steal,” said Wright.

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering cash reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who can identify the suspect or help locate his girlfriend or her vehicle.  Just call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or use the P3 Tips App on your phone to submit the information anonymously. You can also go to www.p3tips.com.

“We would really like to catch this guy and hopefully get the bike back for the shop,” said Wolf-Buck.

‘It appeared that he was executed’: $4,000 reward offered in murder of South Seattle father

SEATTLE — It was just before midnight on Tuesday, April 11, when the shooting started in the 8300 block of Rainier Avenue South.

Seattle Police officers nearby heard the shots.

“They responded to the scene. They did an area search. They found a rifle discarded in the backyard of a nearby residence, which is probably the murder weapon,” said retired Seattle police detective Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

“Three suspects in dark clothing and possibly wearing hoods were seen running from the area westbound across Rainier Avenue South. A dark-colored minivan was also seen leaving the area through an alley,” Carner said.

In the parking lot behind the building where victim Latrel Williams lived, officers found the 35-year-old’s body. He had been shot multiple times. It appeared that he was executed.

“He was targeted,” said Latrel’s mother, Lynda Wolff.

More than 500 people attended Latrel's memorial service last month.

Lynda raised him on her own and says he was an obedient kid who grew up to be a star running back at John F. Kennedy High School in Burien.  She describes him as a gifted athlete who was also a deep thinker who loved to read.

"Nobody knows anybody who disliked him,” said Lynda.

More importantly, he was a father.

“There's no reason my grandson shouldn't have a father and I shouldn't have a child anymore,” Lynda said.

Latrel volunteered as a Little League coach for kids and was an entrepreneur who had recently started a company to hire low-income people in his community to work as flaggers on job sites.

"He was the type of person that saw everybody for who they were. He saw them as human beings. He didn't mind lowering his wings so he could relate to somebody, help somebody out every opportunity that he got,” said his cousin, Ellis Holifield.

Seattle Police say Latrel was an innocent victim and they have found no motive or reason for his murder.

“It's tearing me apart. At night, I cry at night. I wake up crying.  I could see if he was a bad person or if he had any bad habits, that would probably help me but there's nothing that he's done to anyone,” Lynda said.

Seattle homicide detectives returned to the scene recently and posted Crime Stoppers flyers asking for the public’s help.

“We think people were in that area, possibly heard the gunshots, saw the vehicle, perhaps got a license plate, maybe identification of the clothing, whatever,” said Carner.

Lynda has searched through all of her son’s paperwork looking for any clues as to why this might have happened.

"I couldn't find anything. I'm sure whoever this was didn't really know who my son was,” she said.

If you have any information that can help Seattle Police identify the suspects, Crime Stoppers will pay you a $4,000 cash reward. Call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS or use the P3 Tips App.

“He was a good father, a good person, extremely good heart. He didn’t deserve it,” said Holifield.

CAPTURED: Suspect accused off snatching purse from 89-year-old woman in Ballard identified by viewer tips

SEATTLE — Sept. 14, 2017.

Seattle Police say North Precinct Anti-Crime Team officers arrested the 30-year-old suspect accused of stealing Betty Wagner’s purse in June.  Detectives say he was identified thanks to Washington’s Most Wanted\Q13 News viewer tips to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.  Officers say he was carrying a small amount of heroin at the time of the arrest. He was booked into the King County jail for robbery and narcotics possession.

His name is not being released until he is officially charged in court.   He is WMW Capture #920.

SEATTLE – An 89-year-old woman says she feels humiliated after a man snatched her purse in broad daylight in Ballard.

It happened in June on a sunny Sunday afternoon off 24th Avenue NW and 62nd Street.  Seattle police say this picture was snapped as he was leaving a nearby Safeway after using the victim’s stolen credit card.

“How could this happen to me?” asked 89-year-old robbery victim Betty Wagner.

It’s a question Wagner keeps asking herself after a trip to the bakery last month ended in a robbery in a popular Ballard neighborhood.

”All of a sudden, you are gonna watch him run full-speed at the victim who is walking ahead of him,” said retired Detective Myrle Carner, of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

“Maybe with my purse on this side was more than he could pass up,” said Wagner.

Next thing she knew, he ran past her with her purse in his bag toward a 7-Eleven, but he was caught on surveillance video.

“I was not hurt. I was stunned. Humiliated,” said Wagner.

The man was captured on the 7-Eleven surveillance video taking off with Wagner’s purse in hand.

“Next thing he does, he immediately goes to a nearby store and starts using her credit cards. This guy's despicable,” said Carner.

He used her cards at a Safeway.  The store’s surveillance cameras caught a clear picture of the suspect.

“You just feel violated as if you’ve been caught naked outside or something because you do feel naked,” said Wagner.

Luckily, she had her car keys and cell phone in her pockets.  The suspect ditched some of her IDs and other important cards, but he kept her money and bag.

“It makes you sick to your stomach to think somebody stoops to this level,” said Wagner.

Wagner says she’s angry the thief took something that wasn’t his to take.  Just like her secret to thriving at 89 years old, she’s not letting the robbery hold her back.

“Keep moving and have a positive attitude,” said Wagner.

She says she doesn’t consider herself old or vulnerable and she’s more worried about elderly people or women with kids who could be the suspect’s next target.

If you recognize the suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers. It's anonymous and you'll get up to a $1,000 reward if your tips leads to his arrest.

Murder Mystery: Seattle Police, family seek justice after teen killed in apparent robbery

SEATTLE — A 15-year-old boy from West Seattle was supposed to start another year of high school last week. Instead, his family is planning his funeral after they say he was violently attacked at a West Seattle park on Tuesday, September 5th.

Detectives believe he may have been the victim of a robbery and they are asking the community for any leads that may help solve this case.

Italia Juarez-Lopez says the last time she spoke to her 15-year-old brother Derek was that morning. She says he called her in a panic.

“He said, 'Please come, I just got jumped!' I just heard the phone and wind like he’s running; running from somebody, running from something,” says Italia.

Italia says Derek told his family he’d planned to meet up with a girl earlier that morning before attending his sophomore orientation at Chief Sealth High School. Seattle police believe he may have been the victim of a robbery.

“I don’t know what my little brother was doing in the woods. He had nothing on him; his backpack. He had a backpack and that was gone,” says Italia.

Investigators believe it happened near the southern end of Westcrest Park.

“He got stabbed in the chest, stabbed in the stomach and then the back of the head. They opened the back of his head. They had to have hit him with something,” says Italia.

After calling his sister for help, Derek collapsed at the corner of SW Cambridge Street and 6th Avenue SW.

“He flagged down a lady. He was covered in blood and he flagged down a lady and she called 911 right away,” says Italia.

Italia says Derek later died at the hospital.

Derek’s mother, Veronica, says she desperately needs answers. She is not alone in her grief.

On Wednesday night, friends and loved ones gathered by candlelight to honor his life and say goodbye.

This week, WMW host David Rose went out with Seattle homicide detectives to post Crime Stoppers fliers in the area around 5th Ave. SW and SW Campbridge St. in West Seattle, to ask for the public's help to solve the case.

"We have received some calls where the caller actually hung up early. If you are that person, remember, you can remain anonymous. We're not tracking calls or anything. When you call the hot line you truly are anonymous, so if you are that person, please call back," said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case. If you know anything, you're urged to call 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

Video unravels strange stolen Jeep, gun case; help ID suspects

WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY —
Surveillance video shows a stolen Jeep as a man and woman pull in behind a Tacoma gas station on 72nd St. E. and McKinley Ave. E. and quickly bail out and take off. The woman grabs her bag and leaves, but the male suspect goes into the store where you can see a great shot of his face.

Detectives think he may have ducked in there because of a Pierce County Sheriff’s deputy patrolling the parking lot.

So, he and his accomplice are  wanted for possession of a stolen vehicle, but here’s where the case gets really bizarre: Video then shows a woman in pink, with blonde hair crossing paths with the dark-haired woman. They’re total strangers, but deputies say that blonde haired woman walked right up to the abandoned Jeep and stole a gun she had spotted inside.

She was inside the store before the theft buying noodles and Marlboro Black cigarettes.

Detectives are trying to identify her, as well, and are asking you to take a close look at her shuffling walk in hopes it helps you recognize her.

So now, deputies are searching for three suspects--- the two women and the man who was driving the stolen Jeep.

"This is pretty unusual that you have thieves stealing from thieves and they don't even know it, but you know, at this particular point you have a stolen car, probably stolen property in the vehicle that they take out originally and then a gun taken by a third subject, so we would like to unravel this and take a lot of criminals off the street all at once,” said Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer. "Fortunately we got video and pictures of all these people and hopefully we can get them identified, because somewhere there's a gun out there amongst the criminal population that we want to get back. We're lucky enough to recover the car, but people who steal cars continually steal cars, so hopefully we find out who these people are and put some end to some crime in that area."

Missing Attachment Missing Attachment

Detectives say the Jeep was stolen 10 days earlier from outside the Top of Tacoma Bar and Cafe that's just minutes down the street from the gas station.

Detectives say an employee at the Chevron noticed the Jeep didn't have any license plates. "He called 911, gave us great information, got us en route. Unfortunately, as our deputies arrived, we just missed them and thanks to the witness we got the car recovered. We got pictures of the people taking the gun and all the information's out there, now we just need the public’s help to find out who these people are and put this case together."

Detectives think the man is in his 20's, with a medium build, unshaven and wearing camouflage pants, a red/black/white jacket and an olive green beanie.

They think the woman with him is white, in her 20's, with a medium build, long dark brown hair and wore a burgundy leather coat over a white t-shirt.

The woman suspected of stealing the gun from the Jeep is described as white, in her 20's, with a petite build, bleached blonde hair and wearing a pink shirt, pink jacket and pink sandals. And again, detectives really want you to pay attention to the way she walks. She seems to take short steps and sort of shuffle along.

If you can tell Pierce County detectives any of the three suspect's names, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

Help ID identity thief who struck hard while victim’s on vacation

WANTED IN RENTON —
Renton police say you are looking at a big time identity thief and they need your help to shut him down quickly.

Watch the video from an electronics store on September 2nd where detectives say the suspect used the victim’s name, Social Security number and information to fill out a credit application and open a charge account.

He used his own photo though on the ID.

That day, detectives say he bought several thousand dollars’ worth of electronics, then returned the next day and charged several thousand more. On the 3rd day he came into the store, detectives say the clerk got suspicious. "During that visit, the clerk decided they wanted to look at the ID a little closer, realized there was something funny with it,” said Renton Police Cmdr. David Leibman. “The suspect made an excuse and left the store. As it turned out when we contacted the victim, we found out the same suspect had opened up dozens of accounts at major retailers all over the Seattle area in the victim's name and we also have some good video of him in a local hardware store doing the same thing. We would love to get this guy identified and caught. This is one victim and tens of thousands of dollars of theft and really destroying this victim's life. This person is doing this every day. Probably several hours a day. We probably have dozens and dozens of victims so every minute he's out there is a minute he's doing this to somebody else."

Turns out as this guy was opening charge accounts, the victim's credit monitoring service was alerting him, but he was on vacation and out of reach of his email, so he didn't see the alerts. Police say this is either one slick, or one very lucky thief who needs to be caught now.

If you can identify him, submit the tip to Crime Stoppers by using the P3 Tips App on your phone or call 1-800-222-TIPS. It is anonymous and there's a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.

‘If you move, I will shoot you:’ Help ID terrorizing, armed pot shop robbers

$

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
“If you move, I will shoot you.” — that’s what Seattle Police say one of two armed robbery suspects told a clerk at a pot shop last month.

Take a look at the suspects police are trying to identify after they hit the Greenside Recreational marijuana shop on Lake City Way NE.

The taller of the two suspects was wearing a hoodie that said Atavus on the back. That’s a Seattle company that helps train football and rugby players.

Ret. Det. Myrle Carner breaks down what happened during the robbery on the night of August 22nd. “They knew exactly when closing was at 11 o’clock. As he’s locking the door, the two suspects force their way into the premise there and one of the guys pulls a gun. You will see it where he pushes him in the corner. Then you will see a second suspect and he immediately goes around the counter and starts loading a lot of the marijuana edibles and other things. The second clerk on duty overhears this noise, comes out and sees the suspect, the shorter one, and proceeds to chase him. You see him run out the door and then you see the suspect with the gun turn around and chase after the clerk. There was a confrontation outside where the suspect, the taller of the two actually pulls a gun and tells that clerk to back off and he turns around and you see a picture of him going back into the store and then they continue out of sight. One of them actually drops part of the stuff. He even takes the time to go back and pick it up and then takes off running again.”

Seattle Police say they took off down NE 98th St. and got away with $300 to $400 worth of marijuana product -- certainly not worth going to prison -- but that's where they are headed.

"This is a very serious case. The detectives from Seattle have done their homework. The series of videos you see are from 3 or 4 different cameras, different businesses. The fact is, they're planning this. At one shot you will actually see the taller of the two on his cell phone. This is an armed robbery. Very distinctive clothing. You look at the taller of the two. The sweatshirt has very distinctive lettering on the back. These guys act real casual. You watch them as they are actually walking to the scene. It's like they don't have a care in the world, in fact, one of them is just swinging a key chain as he walks. It's just like he's in Mayberry. He just doesn't care. He's just walking along. They're just about to commit a felony. We don't want anybody getting hurt. We'd certainly like to put a stop to these guys before all of a sudden we have serial robbery cases."

Detectives say both suspects are black and between 18 and 21 years old.

If you can identify them, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000. Call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App on your phone. It is guaranteed to be anonymous.

Justice for Mickey: $7,500 reward offered for toy poodle’s killer

$

EDMONDS, Wash. — The owner of a toy poodle found stabbed to death and partially skinned in his own fenced in backyard on Friday, Aug. 25th feels time is running out to find the killer.

Paul Hensel has been out posting fliers along the Interurban Trail behind his home in the 23700 block of 74th Avenue offering a $7,500 reward for tips to identify the suspect who mutilated and killed Mickey.

Editor’s note: The reward has been raised since the original posting of this article from $4,000 o $7,500.

“The way he went, it was so violent and he had to have been scared,” said Hensel.

Hensel said he was sitting inside just 20 yards away with the door cracked open.

"We didn't hear anything. We think he was waiting in the yard," Hensel said of the attacker.

Mickey was a little 10 1/2-pound dog that loved everyone he met. Hensel says he liked to bark at imaginary animals.

"We've had neighbors come up in tears when they found out about it," said Hensel.

Edmonds Police initially increased patrols in the area but believe Mickey's killing is an isolated incident. Still, they are warning people to keep a close eye on their pets and asking for leads on any suspicious people on the Interurban Trail.

"If anybody knows someone who may have a tendency to hurt animals or so forth, that's something we would like to know about. That's something that would be helpful information and point us in the right direction," said Sgt. Shane Hawley.

So, how could somebody be so cruel?

Pasado's Safe Haven is funding a third of the reward because they know this behavior will escalate and get worse.

“As this behavior escalates, people who have crossed this moral line of being able to harm another living being, in our experience in hundreds of these case it always gets worse.  As they progress up from one crime to the next, they are always looking for something more gruesome, more hurtful and to cause more suffering," said Executive Director Laura Henderson.

If you have any information that can help solve this case or identify a suspect, call 911 or Edmonds Police at
(425) 771-0200.

You can also submit an anonymous tip at http://www.edmondswa.gov/police/anonymous-tip.html. or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Stolen cat found with head crushed in Shoreline dumpster; search on for animal abuser

WARNING: This article contains graphic details of a crime

SHORELINE, Wash. — King County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Detectives are investigating after a cat named ‘Quixote’ was stolen from a cat rescue in Shoreline and then found dead in a nearby dumpster with his head crushed.

Around 12pm, yesterday, a volunteer with the Whisker City Cat Rescue on N 183rd St in Shoreline called police when she noticed an outside cat shelter had been broken into and the cat which had been housed inside was missing.

Shoreline Police responded and investigated the theft and burglary to the shelter. Inside the shelter police found a yellow blanket with green writing on it that said: “The homeless need a home … just not my backyard, not Richmond Beach.”

Just before 5 p.m., the employee called police again and said she found the missing cat dead in the facilities dumpster. The cat’s head had been crushed in.

King County Animal Control was advised and Shoreline police returned to the scene. The cat’s body was eventually given to the owner who said she would take it to her vet for an examination. At this point, there is no evidence that the cat was tortured prior to being killed.

While this case brings to mind what happened to a toy poodle named Mickey on Aug. 25th in Edmonds when his owner found him partially skinned in his backyard, the King County Sheriff’s Office, Shoreline Police and Edmonds Police say at this time, there is no evidence linking the cases. Washington's Most Wanted host David Rose offered a $1,000 towards the reward for tips to catch Mickey's killer and thanks to donations from the family, friends, the public and Pasado's Safe Haven, that reward is now $7,700.

Rose said he will do the same for 'Quixote'. If you can help detectives identify the suspect who killed this poor cat yesterday and crushed in his head in Shoreline, Rose will gladly give you $1,000. You can call Crime Stoppers anonymously (they may kick in some reward money too) or contact the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.

WANTED IN EDMONDS —
A woman spotted stealing from a store faces a felony after Edmonds Police say her getaway tactics turned her from thief – to robbery suspect.

“You can see her going into the store,” describes Edmonds Police Det. Andrew Mehl. “She goes into the health and beauty aisle with a basket, puts some things in a basket and then walks out the east doors and as she’s walking out the loss prevention officer contacts her. She tries to kind of sneak by him a little bit and realizes that she’s not going to be able to and strikes him in the chest and then runs away. She’s very matter of fact. It looks like she’s definitely done this before. She didn’t look nervous at all until she was contacted by the loss prevention officer.”

Whether she's done it before or not, detectives say the risk/reward she took to now be facing a felony just doesn't make sense. "Not very high-dollar amount at all, only about $25 worth, which makes this even more concerning, the fact that she would resort to some level of violence in order, just for $25.”

If you recognize her, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You'll get a cash reward if your tip leads to her arrest.

Police investigating after Shoreline cat stolen from shelter, found mutilated in garbage

SHORELINE, Wash. — A horrific case of animal abuse in shoreline. A cat, temporarily staying at a rescue shelter, was stolen and beaten to death before being thrown away with the trash.

For owner Rustam Yusupov, it’s hard to even talk about.

“I just loved him, ya know?”

His 1-year-old Savannah cat ‘Amari’ — nicknamed ‘Quixote’ by the staff – -was staying at Whisker City Cat Rescue, separated from his twin brother until owners finished their move or found the cat a new family.

"We all feel a tremendous amount of guilt because we felt so safe here," said April Brown of Whisker City Cat Rescue.

The shelter had just found a new home for the cat this week.

Tuesday night, the cat was sleeping in one of the shelters indoor/outdoor kennels, but when volunteers arrived Wednesday morning that padlock and gates were broken and the cat was no longer inside.

Workers first reported the cat stolen but later found the feline's body among trash next to the dumpster.

The specialty cat  was found with its skull crushed -- mutilated beyond recognition.

Volunteers think the decorative chair that was inside the kennel was used as a weapon.

"That cat did not have a chance. It couldn't get away."

King County sheriff's deputies found a strange note left behind--a message written on a yellow poncho.

"Homeless need homes, but not in my neighborhood," it read.

"And then it said Richmond Beach," Brown said of the note.  "And it was handwritten."

But the shelter is in Shoreline--three miles from Richmond Beach.

Shelter volunteers shared they have had cats stolen from them in the past -- but suspect that the cat may have been targeted for loud meowing from his kennel.

"I mean, I'm sorry I'm shocked."

Yusupov who kept the cat's twin, while trying to find new housing for Amari.  "I've seen a lot of stuff in my life but this is, like, shocking."

It's animal cruelty that police are investigating, similar to a case in Edmonds, where a toy poodle was found stabbed to death inside his own yard.

Though police say the cases aren't connected, it's hard to stomach for the owner who says Amari and his brother trained themselves to use the toilet and open doors.

"You`re not a human being, man," Yusupov said, alluding to whoever killed his cat. "It's like, you gotta be possessed to do this kind of thing to an innocent creature."

That's one of the reasons why the FBI originally started a national registry of animal abusers.

"Recently the FBI has even started a national registry of animal abusers. And this is really important," said Laura Henderson of Pasado's Safe Haven. "The FBI thinks it`s important enough to track animal abusers--animal abuse is a key indicator of future violence against humans."

Seattle Humane is offering up to $5,000 in rewards leading to the arrest and conviction of animal abuser. You're asked to contact the King County Sheriff's Office with information at 206-296-3311 and reference the Shoreline cat incident.

Video shows suspect in Federal Way road rage murder; family offers $4,000 reward

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Tuesday marks one year since a new father was shot to death on the way to the hospital to see his wife and newborn son.

His widow and Federal Way Police are still pleading for your help to identify the suspect.

For Irina Sloboda and her new baby boy, nothing has been the same since her husband was murdered on September 26th, 2016 in Federal Way.

“I never planned on burying my husband at 30 years old,” she said.

The killer didn’t just take Dennis Sloboda. A piece of her died, too.

“That's what tortures me the most is that we were really, really happy,” said Irina.

She named her son Dennis in memory of his father.

“He just had this happiness in his eyes. I always told him he was a better person than I was. He was more patient. He was really kind,” said Irina.

The night Dennis was killed, Irina was in the hospital waiting for him. Their baby boy had been in the NICU after being born premature.  He was set to move to a regular room and Irina was excited to share that moment with Dennis. He had spent 4 days straight in the hospital with her but had left to pick up a suit from his parent’s home that he needed for a job the next day. Irina called him at 10:22 pm.

“They weigh the baby every day to make sure he`s putting on weight. I was like hurry up so that you make it in time to help me,” she said.

It was the last time she would ever hear his voice. Seven minutes later, the first 911 call came into Federal Way Police about shots fired.  Officers found Dennis in his silver Lexus on Hoyt Road SW between 320th and 340th shot multiple times.

"A young man's life was ended that day for reasons that we don't know,” said Cathy Schrock with Federal Way Police.

So, homicide detectives started to piece together the events that led up to the shooting.  Between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m., Dennis had a confrontation with a driver in a dark-colored vehicle that he cut off in traffic.  Police know this because Dennis drove to his parent’s house in Browns Point where he told his brother Anton that an Asian man had threatened him during a road rage incident.  The suspect had followed Dennis home and was stalking him in the parking lot of a strip mall below the home.

"He was like a psycho crazy idiot that was cussing him,” said Anton.

Detectives were able to obtain surveillance video showing the suspect pulling into a shopping center in a dark-colored vehicle with a brake light at the top of the rear window.  Investigators don’t know what kind of car it is.  The suspect described as tall and thin gets out and walks over into a lit area of the parking lot where he hangs around for about 10 minutes before returning to his car.

On the way back, he walks with a confident strut that may look familiar to someone who can identify him for police.  Dennis and his brother waited inside the home for about an hour until the coast seemed clear.  He left and was planning to stop at home to pick up a pair of shoes.

"It's now 10 p.m. and we're getting reports from witnesses that another confrontation happened at 320th and Hoyt,” said Schrock, who is hoping somebody spotted Dennis’ silver Lexus and the suspect's dark vehicle that night.  Witnesses reported hearing loud voices.  Dennis then arrived home and that’s when Irina says she spoke with him. Dennis told her he was on the way to the hospital.

“I think he died about 3 minutes after I talked to him,” she said.

When police investigate a homicide, they have to consider all possibilities. Dennis did have a criminal record but by all accounts from police, those days were long behind him. His wife and new son were the focus of his life, but did something from his past catch up to him?

"We know that Dennis had some criminal associates. That’s clear and if there's something out there that somebody knows, that somebody had it out for Dennis, let us know,” said Schrock.

Detectives say nothing they have found leads them to believe his murder was anything more than a road rage incident -- a suspect who felt disrespected by Dennis eager to get revenge.

“It`s not fair. It`s not right that this guy can live freely and  think that he can just take somebody away that meant so much to so many people,” said Irina.

The Sloboda family and Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound are offering a $4,000 reward to anyone who can help identify his killer.

“I do think that somebody out there knows something and I really hope they can come forward so that my husband can have some justice,” said Irina.

If you have any information on the Asian suspect in the dark vehicle or know anything about who might have killed Dennis, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit the information at www.crimestoppers.com You will never be asked to give your name. It is completely anonymous.

WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY —
A screwdriver and pry tool is what Pierce County detectives say this crook used to bust into a coffee stand in South Prairie earlier this month.
They’re hoping him staring straight into the camera is the clue that’ll help get him identified.

“He spent 30 minutes there, rifling through everything and took a credit card machine, some money,” said Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer. “This is somebody who’s out at 3:30 in the morning, committing small-time burglaries, but he’s probably doing a lot of them, so we’ve got a good chance here with some of these photos to get him identified. Somebody might recognize him by his eyes, when he’s looking right at the camera, there’s a pretty good shot of his face. Pictures show what he’s doing and him breaking in, but that one photo may be the photo that leads to his identification.”

If you think you know who he is, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). It’s anonymous and you’ll get a cash reward if your tips leads to his arrest.
