FUGITIVE UPDATE December 15, 2017 —
The Washington State Gambling Commission says Washington’s Most Wanted viewer tips helped agents identify the ‘Fat Stack Bandit’ as Albert Moss.

He has a warrant for Theft in the 2nd degree

If you know where he’s hiding, call Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information. It’s anonymous and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to his arrest.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN LAKEWOOD August 25, 2017 --
Take a good look at this the suspect we're calling the 'Fat Stack Bandit' after he stole $3,500 from Chips Casino in Lakewood, on July 31st.  He has still not been identified but agents with the Washington State Gambling Commission say he was wearing an Auburn Riverside HS Football cap.

Watch the video below and prepare to be entertained and awed at the boldness shown by the suspect:

The theft begins with the suspect walking up to the teller to change a $100 bill and starts pouring on the charm, saying to the teller, "Hey! Hey! If you need me to borrow some of that money for you, I will. I'll hold it for you baby."

"What's interesting about this case is that not only do we have video of the crime but we have audio as well,” said Heather Songer with the Washington State Gambling Commission.

You can clearly hear him as he continues to chat up the clerk like a real smooth talker. "So, if you’re not married, do you want to get married?” The teller says no, but he doesn’t give up. “I'm going to St. Croix next week. Wanna come with me? I know this is going to sound weird but I have a fetish for older women. I've never dated a girl my age. No listen. I'm serious. Are we being recorded here? That's fine. If they pay attention they might learn something, ok?

What he's really doing is eyeballing the cash he can see in the drawer, that's when a woman walks up next to him and when the clerk turns her back you can hear him telling her to steal the money in the drawer. She won’t do it, so he tells her to move aside so he can do it himself, but doesn’t strike right away, first saying to the teller, “I'm still here waiting for my response. I'm not going anywhere.” Finally, when the teller turns her back one more time, you see him slowly stretch out his arm and grab a huge stack of cash before taking off.

“The suspect was cool, calm and collected during the entire incident which leads us to believe this probably isn't the first time he's pulled a stunt like this and unless he's caught, it probably won't be his last,” said Songer.

Fortunately, casino cameras got a good look at him. "The suspect in the surveillance video actually has a pretty identifiable hat that he wears during the crime. We are hoping somebody will put that together with his face, probably his voice and get him identified,” adds Songer.

If you know who the ‘Fat Stack Bandit” is, call Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information. It’s anonymous and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to his arrest.

Help ID speedy package-stealing Grinch

$

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
The surveillance video below shows this package perp in the bright yellow shirt sprint to a Seattle homeowner’s porch to steal a pair of boxes and bolt in record time — like he’s trying out for the Package Perp Olympics!

But, when it came to getting a good look at the crook it didn’t matter how fast he moved, because the homeowner has a high-quality camera system that detectives hope will help get this real-life Grinch identified.

“First of all he drives by the victim’s residence and you watch the video, he’ll back up. He gets out and he’s wearing what I would call construction-type clothing, a florescent shirt with stripes and he’s even got work boots, if you look real close,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “He opens the front gate, enters the property, runs to the front porch. You’re going to see one package right in plain view, he’s going to go out of view, take a second package, stack it on the other one, runs down, puts it in his car, gone. So, this guy, he doesn’t know what he’s getting, but once again we’re in this theme again, around Christmas, warning to people what to do with packages and so forth. This guy needs to be caught. He’s probably going to do it again.”

Detectives say the suspect stole two dresses and a child's toy.

It's another crime that can be prevented with good package security. "Notify a neighbor,” says Carner. “Make special recommendations to somebody about how to pick it up, or be there when the package arrives, or go to those storage places that you can actually send them to and then pick them up there at your convenience. This shouldn't happen, but it's not the victim's fault. It's this gentleman's fault that took this thing and he needs to be in custody."

Again, detectives say the suspect appears to be dressed for outdoor construction-type work with his bright yellow safety shirt with reflective stripes and work boots.

They think he's in his 30's or 40's and stands about 5’10”.

You can see the silver four-door car he drove has a large dent in the passenger side door and possible damage to the right front headlight.

If the car looks familiar, or if you can tell Seattle Police this guy’s name, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Nguyen Vu: Accused of charging thousands on dying man’s ‘Amazon’ account

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Seattle Police say Nguyen Vu

is being investigated by the department’s Elder Abuse Unit and detectives are asking for your help to locate her.

Police say she met a 61 year old man when they were both in the Overlake psych ward. They were released on the same day and he told her she could stay at his house that night because she had nowhere else to go. The next morning, he missed a follow up psych appointment, so officers went to the home where they found him unresponsive in his bed and rushed him to Harborview. He died nine days later and then the administrator of his estate told police that Vu had spent more than $8,000 on the victim’s ‘Amazon’ account.

“Here’s a guy that lets her stay at his apartment, takes her in. Probably shares food. Who knows. She doesn’t care,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “But, the fact remains that as soon as he’s out of the picture, then she jumps on the computer and starts stealing him blind.”

Prosecutors have charged Vu with felony identify theft. She also has a warrant for DUI and for another for theft.

She’s 28 years old, 5’5″ and weighs 120 pounds.

Detectives say she was last known to be living in Lake Forest Park.

If you can tell detectives where to find her, use the P3 Tips App on your phone, or call Crime Stoppers and get the cash reward of up to $1,000.

RENTON, Wash. — New details are emerging about a man accused of preying on young girls inside local Walmart stores. Detectives say he’s dangerous and still out there.

Police are asking for the public’s help in trying to identify the suspect before he strikes again.

He's accused of groping a 10-year-old girl in the Renton Walmart, exposing himself to at least two little girls in a Federal Way Walmart, and trying to lure others with candy and money. Renton police says they know of at least 11 different instances of him trying to lure young girls.

Q13 News spoke with a father of an 11-year-old girl who says the man exposed himself to his daughter and a younger girl inside a Federal Way Walmart last Sunday.

"The guy pulled down his pants and showed his privates to the girls. They ran to their mom," the father said. "My wife and her friend tried to chase that guy, but the guy ran off."

That same day, detectives say, the suspect tried to make contact with at least 10 other girls.

Surveillance cameras at the Federal Way Walmart showed the suspect giving something to a young girl. On the video, it appears he's talking to her and he can be seen peeking around the aisle when she runs off.

Detectives obtained images of the suspect's vehicle -- a silver minivan, either a Ford Windstar or Freestar.

"We can figure out what year it is. We can take a look at the plate, although we may not be able to read it, we can figure out what state it's issued from," said David Liebman of the Renton Police Department.

Police say more victims could be out there. They want to hear from the parents of every single one so they can catch the suspect before more girls are targeted.

If you have any information about the suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

It's anonymous and you'll get a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to his arrest.

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Seattle Police need help finding convicted felon, Larry Cooper.
Detectives say surveillance video shows Cooper violently pushing a T-Mobile store worker who tried to stop him and a woman he was with from stealing a pair of iPhone 10’s.

“They’re trying to leave the store. The clerk on duty stops them and says, ‘Hey! You can’t do this,’ so there’s an altercation that takes place, a scuffle over the phones and these two phones go out the door with the suspects, leaving the clerk behind,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “He’s got two outstanding felony warrant right now, one for escape, one for drugs and he has prior felony convictions for firearms. Now, a firearm wasn’t used in this case, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have one with him, so this guy, in my opinion, is someone to be dangerous. We don’t want anybody hurt. Obviously, they don’t care, they’re out there committing crimes and we need them him in custody.”

His cohort has already been arrested, but Cooper is wanted for this robbery and has a couple of other warrants for escape and drugs.

He's 30 years old, 5’6” and weighs 160 pounds.

He has a tattoo above his right eye and two gold upper canine teeth.

Detectives think he could be hiding in Burien.

If you know where he is, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

It's anonymous -- you never have to give your name -- and you'll get a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to his arrest.

CAPTURED:  35-year-old Michael Wages is currently serving a 36 month sentence after he was found guilty on June 1, 2017 for Vehicular Assault on January 22, 2016. He ran over John Sullivan several times with a stolen 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon on and then sped away. Sullivan had multiple broken bones. “It crushed my ribcage and I was conscious throughout all of this. I yelled, stop! Again — just please stop! I’m under the car, and they didn’t stop,” said Sullivan.

The Subaru was reported stolen in Tacoma on January 19, 2016 and recovered by Bellevue Police. It was found thanks to a Washington’s Most Wanted viewer tip to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. That led to the recovery of DNA on the steering wheel. The lab results were returned to police on September 29, 2016 and they identified Wages as the driver which was confirmed by his ex-girlfriend who was with him in the car. Detectives also learned from a confidential informant that Wages had bragged about the hit and run and getting away.

He has six previous felony convictions including Possession of a Stolen Vehicle in Pierce County in 2016, Bail Jumping, Intimidating a Public Servant, Possessing Stolen Property in the Second Degree in King County in 2014 and Residential Burglary in 2009 in King County. He has 10 misdemeanor convictions include Vehicle Prowl 2 in 2013, Assault 4 and Harassment in 2011 and Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft 3 in 2008.

Wages is WMW Capture #941 as Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound just recently paid the cash reward to the tipster who finally came forward.

UPDATE February 10, 2016 —
Washington’s Most Wanted viewer tips to Crime Stoppers have helped locate the Subaru that hit a bicyclist in Kirkland.

It was at a tow yard.

The car was reported stolen before the bicyclist was hit.

Kirkland Detectives are processing it for evidence.

HIT AND RUN DRIVER WANTED IN KIRKLAND February 2, 2016 —
A Kirkland man is alive and healing after a driver hit him, dragged him and left him for dead.

He was riding his bike at the time.  Now, John Sullivan wants to catch the driver who put him in the hospital.

“I just found myself underneath this car. I was being dragged up the hill by the car,” says Sullivan.

Sullivan still can’t believe he’s alive to tell his story.

“I remember it going over my head. I was wearing a helmet, so my helmet saved my life,” says Sullivan.

Kirkland Police say the driver behind the wheel of a white Subaru hit John as he rode his bike to work at about 8 a.m. on Jan. 22  off Lakeview Drive.  John says he saw the white Subaru driving up the hill as he was riding down on his bike. He thought the Subaru was going to go left to park. Instead, it took a right turn, slamming head-on into John.

He says the driver rolled over his body a second and third time, before driving off and leaving him in the road.

“It crushed my ribcage and I was conscious throughout all of this.  I yelled, stop! Again -- just please stop! I’m under the car, and they didn't stop. "

Another driver followed the Subaru and took cell phone video.

Police believe  the car was a 1995-2000 Subaru Legacy Outback station wagon. The driver is described as a white male. Officers can`t identify the license plate because it was raining and the windshield is blurry. But witnesses believe the plate started with the letter "A" and there's a sticker on the left rear bumper.

“There’s a lot of those Subaru wagons out there. Maybe that sticker will be enough for somebody to recognize that,” says Lt. Mike Murray with Kirkland Police.

John spent nine days in the hospital and he has a long recovery ahead of him.  He had a fracture under his right eye, seven broken ribs, a fractured vertebrae, a broken hip and his ear was nearly ripped off.

Now, John and his wife hope the driver will do the right and come forward.

If you think you know who that driver is, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-tips.

Cold case solved? Detectives arrest man accused in 2007 Everett murder

$

EVERETT, Wash. — Detectives say new information helped them make an arrest in the 2007 cold case murder of 23 year-old Jose Luis Martinez, who you see pictured.

The case surrounding Martinez’s death has been cold for 10 years, but Everett police say they’ve reviewed the case over and over again since the murder.

This year new witnesses came forward helping police identify and arrest a 34-year-old Everett man.

At about 9:00 p.m. on June 27, 2007, Luis and his two friends went to the apartments at 900 W. Casino Road to purchase marijuana as Luis had done before.

“Essentially, it was a drug deal. The victim actually is a pretty hard-working guy,” said Everett PD Det. Steve Brenneman when we talked to him in 2014 for a story on the case that aired on Washington’s Most Wanted.

Luis and his friends met a group of men at the location and one of the them took Luis’ money but did not return. Upset about getting ripped off, Luis demanded his money back. As things escalated, one of the men pulled a gun and shot at Luis and his friends. One friend was struck twice and Luis was fatally shot in the chest.

During the course of the investigation, detectives interviewed witnesses and pursued all leads but the case went unsolved.

Based on new tips, the case was reviewed in 2009, 2013 and 2015 which helped move the investigation forward and develop probable cause.

Melissa Ashby, 23-year-old Jose Martinez’s former fiance, spoke to Washington's Most Wanted in 2014.

“He was the funniest person I’ve ever met," she said. "He had a really good heart. I don’t know, he was just one in a million.”

He was her first love, she said, and she looked forward to a life together before he was murdered.

Even though it’s been more than a decade, for Melissa, the pain is still very much alive.

“It’s a big change, especially at the beginning because he had become such a big part of my life, and to have to get used to being without him, and then the pain of knowing that he was taken. He didn’t deserve to go that way,” Ashby said.

This year, several more witnesses provided information on the suspect and circumstances surrounding the shooting. Based on the new information, detectives developed probable cause to identify and arrest the 34 year-old Everett man.

After interviewing the suspect on Dec. 20, investigators booked him into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of murder. The suspect has not been identified because formal charges have not yet been filed.

“Normally in these interactions of drug transactions or something like that, both parties are kind of living in a crime lifestyle and in this case, the victim was not. By all accounts, he was a hard-working young man and was just hanging out with friends that evening and made a bad choice,” said Brenneman.

SHUBAD

FUGITIVES WANTED IN SEATTLE May 14, 2015 --
Detectives need your help to solve a high-end heist at a local jewelry store.

Olga Afichuk said the two captured on surveillance video took their time acting like customers, spending nearly an hour inside Shubad Jewelers.

“Every other word was bro,” said Olga. “Bro this, bro that, he was like, ‘I need to see this bro, give me that, bro.’ He was referring me as me as bro, to the man as bro, to anyone as bro.”

Olga said one of them flashed a wad of cash, making it seem like he was ready to do business.

“He actually put something on hold so we saw him as a repeat customer even though he hasn't bought something yet,” she said.

The thieves were looking at a solid, 21-karat, handcrafted gold necklace.

“The suspect even has the gall to put it on his neck, walks around for another 5 minutes,” said retired detective Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “Then all of a sudden, boom. He bolts for the door.”

In a flash, the crook was out the door with the loot and all the way through the mall with an employee giving chase.

“He chases him out to the parking lot where one of the suspects pulls a gun, points it at him and says, 'Stop following me or I’ll kill ya,'” added Carner.

Cops think the suspects took off in a white pickup truck.

Olga said the $16,000 loss is a huge blow to the businesses.

“This is not a large corporation where something like this gets swept under the table by insurance companies and that's it,” said Olga. “This is taking out of our pay checks; this is taking out of our small business.”

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 for someone who can identify the suspects.

If you know anything about this case, call 1-800-222-TIPS.

SEATTLE – A hit-and-run is caught on surveillance video, giving a grieving family the proof they say they needed to know the driver saw what he or she had done and purposefully left the scene.

The crime happened just after midnight on Sunday, December 3. Surveillance video shows a reddish maroon minivan strike 53-year-old Kao Saeteurn in the 9200 block of Rainier Avenue South, drive around his body and leave the scene.

53-year-old Kao Saeteurn hit and killed by driver

“I think I was expecting to see a less of an impact. Maybe the driver didn’t realize they had hit a person, maybe they thought they had hit an animal,” said the victim’s sister, Tiffany Sires. “Watching the video here for the first time, it’s pretty apparent that he knew he had hit a human being.”

Security cameras outside the Rainier Beach Medical and Dental Clinic captured the entire crime as it unfolded December 3. The video shows Koa walking down Rainier Avenue South trying to cross the road, when a maroon minivan strikes him, sending his body a considerable distance.

“The minivan slows, you’ll see that it slows and then it purposely drives around the victim, it doesn’t stop, doesn’t make any attempt to identify him or herself and flees the scene,” said Retired Detective Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

What may have been an accident is now considered a felony hit-and-run, devastating a family with the loss of their mentally disabled brother.

“It’s been almost three weeks, but it still feels surreal,” said Sires.

Seattle police are hoping someone will recognize the minivan from the surveillance video, it’s believed to have front-end damage.

“Somebody knows this vehicle, it could be in a garage somewhere,” said Carner. “Maybe you’re a shop owner and you took care of this van and thought it looked a little strange. Now is the time to call the hotline cause any information at all is great help to investigators helping the case.”

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward to anyone who can help locate the minivan or identify the driver. Submit a tip anonymously at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips App on your phone or call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Three thieves used a stolen vehicle to smash-in the door of the West Coast Armory gun shop early Tuesday morning and make off with 40 to 50 firearms, Bellevue Police Ofc. Seth Tyler said.

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to arrests in the case.

Bellevue Police say just after 3am, a garbage truck driver heard the alarm at West Coast Armory and saw the door had been smashed-in. The suspects were gone when police got there, but it was determined that about 40-50 guns had been stolen.

Ofc. Tyler said they believe there were three suspects who fled in what was later determined to be a stolen vehicle. He said surveillance video showed they used the vehicle to ram the door.

Bellevue Police later tweeted that officers had recovered the suspect vehicle and it was being processed for evidence.

Ofc. Tyler said there was also a break-in previously at the same place in which four guns were taken. Three of those were recovered, he said.

Ofc. Tyler said at this time police don’t believe the two robberies are related.

If you know anything that can help identify the three suspects in Tuesday morning’s case, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
