WANTED IN KING COUNTY —
Convicted of beating up a man who had just hit it big at the casino.

The victim — setup by an ex-girlfriend — his wallet and car stolen.

That violent robbery is one of many felony crimes Brian Bowens has been busted for. He’s also been convicted of assault, drugs and illegally having a gun.

Now, he’s wanted in King County after failing to face a judge. “He got released from jail. He was supposed to appear in court on the 10th of this month. He didn’t show up, so there’s two valid warrants online. The drug warrant is for $250,000 bail, that’s stemming from a charge in Kent, where he had methamphetamine on his person and then a second charge of a felony assault, along with robbery out of Auburn Police Department, where he robbed somebody who left a casino and was actually kicking and punching him while he was laying on the ground,” said King County Sgt. Ryan Abbott.

Detectives think Bowens could be with his girlfriend, Sarajean Jacobs. She’s wanted for forgery and was last living in Kent.

They could be driving a black 1993 Toyota pickup with Washington state plates B98928V.

“This is a guy that continues to violate the law, continues to get warrants, knows he’s supposed to be in court, is purposely not showing up for court and we need the public’s help to arrest him, because he’s hiding from us, he knows we’re looking for him, he knows detectives are looking for him and he doesn’t want to go back to jail,” said Sgt. Abbott.

Bowens is 54 years old, 6’3” and weighs 206 pounds.

Sarajean Jacobs is 27 years old, 5’9” and weighs 140 pounds.

If you know where this criminal couple is hiding, call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477), or use the P3 Tips App on your smart phone to submit your information to Crime Stoppers.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN RENTON February 7, 2018 --
Renton Police are asking for the public's help to find the suspect accused of shooting a 38-year-old man multiple times outside the William’s Avenue Pub at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

Detectives are searching for 29-year-old Steven Edward Shannon Jr.

Detectives say the preliminary investigation revealed the victim and lone suspect were arguing just before the shooting.

"We don’t know what tipped this man off, got him angry but apparently it was a minor argument,” said Renton Police Commander Dave Leibman.

Surveillance video shows Shannon following the victim out of the pub and then around the corner just south of the bar. Officers responded to calls of shots fired and found the victim in the parking lot.

Medics took the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he remains in critical condition. Detectives say the video helped them identify Shannon as the suspect.

“He has done violent assaults before. He has a fairly extensive criminal history. In this case, he shot a man in cold blood on the street and left him to die. This is a person who is very likely to do something similar again,” Leibman said.

Family devastated by quadruple murder in Kitsap County suffers another tragic loss

KINGSTON, Wash. -- Kitsap County Sheriff's detectives say the Careaga family, already devastated after a quadruple murder in early 2017, has suffered another heartbreaking loss.

Twenty-year-old Joseph Careaga was a passenger in a car driven by an 18-year-old Silverdale woman when she crashed at a high rate of speed early Tuesday morning, killing him.

In early 2017, his father, John Careaga, stepmother Chrystale Careaga, 16-year-old Hunter Schaap, and his 16-year-old brother, Johnathon Higgins, were all murdered. No arrest has been made in the case.

Joseph died when the Audi he was riding in caught fire following the collision with a Subaru Outback early in the 30400 block of Hansville Road NE at the intersection with NE Little Boston in North Kitsap.  The female driver was able to exit the vehicle but Careaga was trapped inside.   Arriving sheriff’s deputies
used portable fire extinguishers to subdue the flames without success. The vehicle fire was extinguished by North Kitsap Fire and Rescue emergency crews.

The female driver was treated at the scene for injuries, then transported by medic unit to Harrison Medical Center, Bremerton.  The driver of the Subaru was airlifted by helicopter to Seattle.

As part of the investigation sheriff’s traffic investigators will determine if alcohol or drug impairment was a factor in the cause of the collision.  The Kitsap County Coroner determined Careaga died from  blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen.

Anyone with information about this collision are asked to contact Deputy Andy Aman or Deputy Aimee Rogers, sheriff’s traffic unit, at 360.337.4634.
Reference: case report K18-006452.

Detectives say Joseph Careaga's death is in no way related to the murders of his father and the rest of his family.

There is a $20,000 reward being offered for tips to solve their murders.  If you have any information, send a tip to Crime Stoppers via the P3 Tips App on your smartphone or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also submit it at www.P3Tips.com. It is anonymous.

Preliminary necropsy results confirm horse’s tongue was intentionally cut off

$

YELM, Wash. -- Preliminary necropsy results indicated Thursday that someone intentionally cut off the tongue of a privately owned horse in Yelm, Thurston County sheriff's deputies said.

The 28-year-old horse named Annie had to be euthanized Wednesday night because she wouldn't have been able to eat or drink without its tongue.

Annie the horse.

The first Thurston County Sheriff's deputy on the scene after the horse's problem was discovered Tuesday thought it was an intentional act, but then questions were raised by a veterinarian as to whether the horse might have severed its own tongue in an accident.

The Necropsy performed by forensic veterinarian Victoria Smith, of the Steamboat Animal Hospital, showed it was no accident.

Preliminary results indicate intentional trauma, Deputy Carrie Nastansky said, adding that there was a very clean cut all the way at the base of the tongue.

She said Annie's teeth were so degraded at the back of her mouth due to age that there is no way she could have bitten it off.

In addition, Annie's tongue was found in the middle of her owner's property with no signs of being moved or dragged around, as it might have been in an accident. So investigators believe this is a case of animal abuse.

Additional X-ray results and lab work are still pending.

Thurston Countys sheriff's deputies say Annie was found by her owner in the backyard in the 9500 block of Bridge Road in Yelm. “She saw what she thought was originally a dog KONG toy.  She realized it was actually a horse tongue.  It was about 6 inches long so she went and immediately went and checked on her horse and the horse was bleeding from the mouth," said Deputy Nastanksy.

She immediately remembered another recent case of animal abuse nearby. Deputies say it's possible they may be connected.

"There was a situation a couple months ago with a sheep that was found maybe half a mile from this location that was found alive, emaciated, which is extremely skinny, in two garbage bags. It was found by two girls riding their horses and we, unfortunately, weren’t able to find that person," said Deputy Nastansky.

Pasado's Safe Haven and Washington's Most Wanted Host David Rose are offering a $2,000 reward to anyone who can help Thurston County sheriff's deputies solve what could be a horrendous case of animal abuse in Annie's case. Additionally, Crime Stoppers of the South Sound is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest in the case.   " Somebody out there doing something like this absolutely needs to be caught. This is not something we can let run rampant around our county or any other area," said Deputy Nastanksy.

Anyone with information on a possible suspect can remain anonymous. Submit a tip at nastanc@co.thurston.wa.us or by calling Thurston County Sheriff's dispatch  at 360-704-2740. Eddie Nagan: Western District of Washington Fugitive Task Force searching for ‘Offer Up’ armed robber

WANTED IN KENT —

U.S. Marshals led Western District of Washington Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s help to find 19-year-old Eddie Nagan.  He has been wanted since 2017 when he pleaded guilty to Robbery 1st Degree.  He failed to appear in court for sentencing.  Nagan used a popular buy-sell app to lure and rob  a man who thought he was buying an iPhone 6.  Kent Police saw him throwing a .40 semi-automatic pistol in bushes as he fled the scene.

“Interestingly enough, once Eddie was arrested initially for the ‘OfferUp’ robberies, we’ve had no more so that tells you, we were looking at him for five or six different robberies involving ‘OfferUp’ and there are probably many more that maybe not were even reported,” said Kent Police Det. Melanie Robinson. “I really want to get this guy off the streets. He needs to be held accountable for what he did. He has taken people’s safety net and taken advantage of them in a manner that will affect them forever. Putting a gun at somebody’s head and stealing their money and items, I don’t think you’ll ever be the same after something like that happens to you.”

Detectives say this crime is another alarming reminder for people to stay safe when using apps to buy stuff from strangers through sites like ‘OfferUp,’ ‘LetGo,” and ‘Craigslist.’ “Be aware of your surroundings. Make good decisions. Go with your gut instinct, if something seems too good to be true it generally is. If you’re looking at an item you’d like to purchase and you want to meet up somewhere, make it a safe place, make it a law enforcement agency. I, myself, use ‘OfferUp’ and I always go to a law enforcement agency. If that person doesn’t want to go with you, or meet you at that location, that’s a clue and that’s a red flag that this might be somebody that’s going to take advantage of you.”

Eddie Nagan is 6’0” and weighs 150 pounds.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or use the P3 Tips App on your smart phone.  You can also call the U.S. Marshals at (206) 370-8600 during business hours. On evenings and weekends, call (206) 370-8690.

WANTED IN KING COUNTY —
The Western District of Washington Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s help to find 30-year-old Billy D. Williams. He is accused shooting and killing Seattle resident James Little in White Center on May 7, 2017.

King County Sheriff’s Sgt. Cindi West said Little was attending a birthday party at a bar in the 9800 block of 16th Avenue SW in White Center on May 7 when a group of women got into a fight, which spilled outside. The women eventually separated and Little approached a group of people across the street when Williams, who as in the group, pulled a gun and shot Little in the head, killing him, West said.

Detectives have not released a motive for the shooting but said Williams has ties to Albany, Ore., and Seattle.

“Normally, when someone is on the run, it doesn’t stop with the crime they just committed. Normally, they don’t have a job, they may not have employment so they have to provide for themselves so they’re committing other crimes while they’re on the run, so getting these guys off the street, it’s imperative that we continue to keep the community safe,” said Acting U.S. Marshal Jacob Green. “He has to go to court. He has to face justice and that’s why he is on our top ten list.”

Billy D. Williams is 30 years old, 5’8″, with a medium build.

If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Williams, the sheriff’s office asks that you call 911 or you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 by calling Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
