KENT, WASH. -- Kent Police have exhausted all leads and are asking for the public's help to identify a bank robbery suspect who approached a teller, said he had a bomb and that he was going to kill himself and everyone in the bank if she didn't give him all the money she had.

He told the teller to give him nothing but 100-dollar bills.

"Whether he had a bomb or not, we don't know. He didn't have anything in his hand other than his cellphone. However, we take the threat seriously and the teller responded appropriately," said Detective Melanie Robinson.

The robbery occurred on May 7  at 12:46 pm at the Wells Fargo located at 204 W, Meeker St. in Kent. Detectives describe the suspect as a black male, 5’8-5’10 tall, little to no facial hair, wearing a long sleeve white tee shirt and wearing black pants. He walked northeast when he left the bank.

CAPTURED — June 27, 2018

King County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Bowens and Sarajean Jacobs in Kent.

WANTED IN KING COUNTY —
Convicted of beating up a man who had just hit it big at the casino.

The victim — setup by an ex-girlfriend — his wallet and car stolen.

That violent robbery is one of many felony crimes Brian Bowens has been busted for. He’s also been convicted of assault, drugs and illegally having a gun.

Now, he’s wanted in King County after failing to face a judge. “He got released from jail. He was supposed to appear in court on the 10th of this month. He didn’t show up, so there’s two valid warrants online. The drug warrant is for $250,000 bail, that’s stemming from a charge in Kent, where he had methamphetamine on his person and then a second charge of a felony assault, along with robbery out of Auburn Police Department, where he robbed somebody who left a casino and was actually kicking and punching him while he was laying on the ground,” said King County Sgt. Ryan Abbott.

Detectives think Bowens could be with his girlfriend, Sarajean Jacobs. She’s wanted for forgery and was last living in Kent.

They could be driving a black 1993 Toyota pickup with Washington state plates B98928V.

“This is a guy that continues to violate the law, continues to get warrants, knows he’s supposed to be in court, is purposely not showing up for court and we need the public’s help to arrest him, because he’s hiding from us, he knows we’re looking for him, he knows detectives are looking for him and he doesn’t want to go back to jail,” said Sgt. Abbott.

Bowens is 54 years old, 6’3” and weighs 206 pounds.

Sarajean Jacobs is 27 years old, 5’9” and weighs 140 pounds.

If you know where this criminal couple is hiding, call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477), or use the P3 Tips App on your smart phone to submit your information to Crime Stoppers.

Deputies searching for classic car after Carnation man’s beloved Chevy Nova stolen

SEATTLE -- Kenny Gavigan has made a career out of his  passion for cars. He works as a mechanic for the Kirkland Police Department helping those who protect and serve keep their cruisers running.

Now, he needs some help of his own after someone stole his red 1962 Chevy Nova with WA plate 71179CV.

"I left it parked behind my house one night, came back and it was gone the next morning,” said Gavigan, who lives in Carnation.

Gavigan has always loved the Nova. His dad helped him rebuild one to drive when he was in high school.  Now, he has kids of his own and loved taking them for a ride in the classic car after putting in the hours to fix it up.

"It takes a lot of time to buy original parts and to go through brake systems and fuel systems to make sure a vehicle isn't going to leave you stranded on the road when you're out driving it,” said Gavigan.

King County sheriff’s detectives say it was taken last Sunday sometime after 3 p.m. in the area of W. Commercial Street and W. Bird Sreet in Carnation. There were no clues at the scene as to how the thief started it and drove it away.

"If you saw even an area where it went and you can call us and let us know, we can get officers out there and investigate and hopefully track down exactly where it went,” said sheriff's Sgt. Ryan Abbott.

Kenny just hopes he gets it back intact.

“You notice it in a parking lot because of that body style car because it doesn't blend in so it should be pretty easy to spot out there,” he said.

If you saw the Nova or you know where deputies can find it, call 911 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips App on your phone.

KILLER WANTED IN SEATTLE —
This week marks three years since Benito Enriquez — a loving father, son, boyfriend and nurse — was beaten to death after leaving a Kenny Chesney concert and Seattle Police are still hopeful that his killer can be found.

Detectives say the man pictured below in the white t-shirt and a black baseball cap could be responsible for attacking Benito.

Surveillance video captured Benito walking next to the suspect and a woman in the International District on June 27, 2015. A short time later medics found Benito about 300 feet away at 5th and S. Weller — with no pulse.

On Wednesday, his mother and devoted girlfriend visited his memorial where he died to pay tribute to him — and plea for his killer to finally do the right thing. “I would love for you to come forward,” said Benito’s girlfriend, Nicole Magee. “I want to know what happened? Why did it happen? Because, Benito was a giant teddy bear. He wouldn’t even kill a spider, so I don’t understand it. You don’t have to give your name, just something on the reason why you did this?” Benito’s mother, Christina Enriquez, said, “My message to you, who took my son when he was laying down on the sidewalk, out cold and you kicked him to death. I forgive you. I told you that hours after he died, I forgive you. Yes, it’s hard for me to say this, but I could not go on, I could not continue on unless I did forgive you.”

Detectives think the suspected killer is Hispanic, Middle-Eastern or Pacific Islander, in his 20`s, around 6 feet tall, with a medium-to-stocky build and wearing a black and white 'trucker' style baseball cap.

Detectives think the blonde woman is also in her 20`s, 5’8” and was possibly pregnant then. She was wearing a red, pink and white-patterned dress.

If you recognize them, or know anything that can bring justice to Benito's family, call the Crime Stoppers tip line anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477), or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information. There is a $1,000 cash reward for anyone with information that helps lead to the arrest of Benito’s killer.

WANTED IN THURSTON COUNTY —
A retired nurse in north Olympia says he doesn’t why he and his wife were targeted by an arsonist who burglarized their home.

Two weeks ago, someone broke into Clifford Rice’s home on Bellwood Dr. NE while he and his wife were out-of-town.

He lost thousands of dollars in personal property and his Toyota Camry.

Whoever did it set two fires in the house and in the detached garage.

Now the Rices are trying to figure out what’s next. “Do we replace it? Do we tear it down? I mean damage inside is huge,” said Clifford. “There’s things we’ve inherited from grandparents that can’t be replaced.”

Police recovered the stolen car in Pierce County.

Detectives are looking it over for evidence and talking to possible witnesses.

They say the thieves stole jewelry, antiques and guns. "Some of those firearms were taken inside the residence, as well as inside the detached shop building, so we have several firearms that are currently unaccounted for in the hands of unknowns and we would like to have the public's help to assist us in locating who's responsible and ultimately locating the firearms,” said Thurston County Det. Alan Clark.

So again, this was in north Olympia on June 12th.

Detectives say it's possible the suspects were staying in the home for several months because the owners had been out-of-town, so if you saw anyone there or heard anybody bragging about it, or you know who was involved, you can remain completely anonymous. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Help ID needle-wielding gas station robber

$

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
This case shows just how frustrated store clerks are getting with people ripping them off and the danger that can bring after one clerk was stabbed with a needle.

Surveillance video from the Shell gas station on Lake City Way in Seattle shows a clerk trying to stop a woman who police say was stealing some Olde English malt liquor by hiding it in her sweatshirt.

He told officers he recognized her because she had been in earlier with two guys who tried to use somebody else’s credit card.

In the video, you can tell she’s trying to keep her face away from the camera. The clerk was able to pull her back into the store, but then she breaks away and to insult to injury, snatches up a couple of meat sticks. You can’t really see it but during the struggle, but detectives say she took an un-capped needle out of her pocket and stabbed the clerk in the finger. He was bleeding from the hand when officers arrived. “We’re thinking about Hepatitis? Could be any kind of disease that she had? We just don’t know. We hope that it’s going to clear out for him medically, but the fact remains she has a needle and she’s still at large,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

Detectives describe the robbery suspect as a black woman in her 30's, wearing a baseball cap, Seahawks sweatshirt, blue shorts and athletic shoes.

If you know her name, submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers by using the P3 Tips App on your phone or you can call 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

Help ID prolific booze bandit; $50,000 worth taken so far

WANTED IN KING COUNTY —
You’re looking at one of the most bold and prolific liquor thieves we’ve ever featured on Washington’s Most Wanted.

King County detectives are hoping you know his name.

He’s going to extreme lengths to lift a bunch of booze from local grocery stores. “We’ve got a guy who’s hitting multiple Safeway and QFC locations for hard alcohol and he really likes Hennessy and he’s not just stealing one bottle. We’re talking about 40 to 60 bottles at a time,” said King County Sgt. Ryan Abbott. “So, he’s loading up these shopping carts with all this hard alcohol and then he’s actually taking the cart out the back exit and he’s leaving the loading dock and employee exit area. Most of the times that’s what he’s doing, but the other half of the time what he’s doing is he’s coming into these stores, he’s stealing the employee keys that open up the locked cabinets where the alcohol is stored and then he’ll leave and then a couple of days later he’ll return to that store and that’s when he’ll go and steal all this alcohol. Again, we’re talking about $1,000 to $10,000 every single theft and I think we’re up to about $50,000 right now and like I said, we’re not talking about one store. He’s starting on the eastside and he’s going all the way south, so Issaquah, Bellevue, Duvall area, going all the way down into Renton and Kent and other stores, so he doesn’t just stop at one, he’s moving all around. We need to find this guy. We need to arrest him and we need to make him accountable for all the stuff he’s stolen.”

So, he's a Hennessy Cognac guy.

Detectives think he's white, sports his bald head for half the heists and wears a Seahawks hat for the other thefts.

If you know his name, use the P3 Tips App to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

‘Box Cutter Bandit:’ Help ID bank robber seen terrorizing tellers

WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Seattle Police are hoping you can identify this dangerous bank robbery suspect.

Just watch the terror he unleashed on a pair of tellers at the Umpqua Bank on Capitol Hill, on May 26th.

This rage-filled robber is seriously unstable — even claiming to be schizophrenic — possibly true or maybe just to intimidate the victims.

He starts his scary heist by bolting through the front door with a really distinctive stride — like a waddle or gimp — and heads straight for the counter. “In his right hand you see a box cutter. He immediately approaches a teller on duty and he continually threatens to kill them. You can watch the fear in their actions and you’ll see one of the tellers, she’s just holding her hands up like she’s scared to death and they have no ‘Bandit Barriers’ in this bank, so he can get really close, in fact, you watch, he gets within just a couple of inches of her face at one time,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “So, he’s asking for money, they give him the money and he continues to yell at them. This is not a normal bank robbery suspect. Normally, they come in very quiet, they hand a note, or they very discreetly show a weapon. Not this guy. He’s in full-rage. He’s going back-and-forth between the tellers, holding this box knife and obviously they’re scared for their lives.”

Video from an hour earlier shows the robber casing the bank under the guise of being a customer wanting to open an account. He talked to the teller for over 20 minutes before leaving and that's where we get really good looks of him without his hoodie up.

Detectives think this ‘Box Cutter Bandit’ is 35 to 45 years old, 5’11”, 230 to 250 pounds, with a thin mustache and facial hair and wearing glasses.

If you know his name, a full $1,000 cash reward is yours. just submit your information anonymously to crime stoppers through the p3 tips app you can download on your smart phone, or call the hot line at 1-800-222-tips.

NEVAREZ

TACOMA, WA – June 29, 2018.

Gabriel Nevarez, 29, was sentenced to more than 30 years in prison for the 2007 murder of Kyle Grinnell, 21, in a drive-by shooting.

Nevarez, a U.S. citizen, was taken into custody in February 2016, in Michoacan, Mexico, by the Policía Federal Ministerial, in close coordination with the FBI. Mexican authorities transferred Nevarez to FBI custody in Mexico City.  FBI agents then brought Nevarez back to Washington State.

“It doesn’t matter how long it takes or how far we have to go, we will hold violent criminals accountable and keep our community safe,” Said prosecutor Mark Lindquist.

During the afternoon of February 21, 2007, Nevarez drove to Grinnell’s home on South Tyler Street looking to settle an old score with Juan Carlos Ruiz, 19. Nevarez arrived at the home and found Ruiz outside at the top of a stairway.  Grinnell was below him about 20 feet away and in the line of fire between Nevarez’s car and Ruiz.

When the shooting started, witnesses heard gunfire coming from Nevarez’s car.  He was hanging outside the driver’s side window with both hands on a silver .38 caliber revolver, firing toward the victim. Grinnell died at the scene.  Ruiz, the apparent target, was not injured.

The case was handled by Deputy Prosecutor Greg Greer who asked the court for the long sentence.

CAPTURE UPDATE May 11, 2018 —
Gabriel Nevarez, now age 29, pleaded guilty to first degree murder for the 2007 drive-by shooting that killed 21-year-old Kyle Grinnell.

“Pulling this defendant into court took more than nine years and a lot of hard work,” said Prosecutor Mark Lindquist. “It doesn’t matter how long it takes or how far we have to go, we will hold violent criminals accountable and keep our community safe.”

Sentencing is scheduled for June 29.

CAPTURE UPDATE August 18, 2016 —
Wanted fugitive, Gabriel Nevarez, was returned to the United States on Thursday after nine years on the run. Agents from the FBI’s Seattle Division brought Nevarez, 28, formerly of Tacoma, back from Mexico to face state charges of Murder in the First Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the Second Degree.

Pierce County issued a warrant for Nevarez’s arrest after the February 2007 murder of Kyle Grinnell, Jr., in Tacoma.

Nevarez, a U.S. citizen, was taken into custody without incident in February 2016, in Michoacan, Mexico.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN TACOMA December 20, 2013 —
Kyle Grinnell Sr. remembers his only son, “I named him after me, but quickly I started calling him buddy ‘cause he was just always with me, he was my little buddy.”

21-year-old Kyle Grinnell Jr. was also the oldest of four kids with a special connection to his father.

“He really wanted to be like me, wanted to be me. So, we had a great relationship because he was just always with me,” Grinnell said.

Kyle Jr. lived at an apartment complex owned by his father just off Tyler Street in Tacoma. He was pressure washing the sidewalk as a favor to his dad when gun shots rang out. It was around 4:30 in the afternoon on February 21, 2007.

“The early phases of the shooting investigation identified Gabriel Nevarez as the shooter in this particular incident,” said Detective Gene Miller with the Tacoma Police Department.

Nevarez, or “The Joker” as he was known on the street, was trying to kill someone else.

“As he approached the residents he rolled down the driver side window of the suspect vehicle and fired multiple rounds in the direction of the person he wanted to strike. That individual was not struck instead the victim in this case, Kyle Grinnell was struck. He was not the intended target,” Miller said.

Kyle was killed simply because he was standing next to the wrong person. His father was hoping to have dinner with him that night.

“I was leaving him a voicemail message at the time he was killed,” Grinnell said. “It’s been nearly 7 years now and as you can see, I can still get emotional about it. It’s the hurt that never goes away.”

Grinnell feels not just the loss of an only son, but also a future legacy.

“It was incredibly tough the first few years – really, really tough the first few years. For me, I felt that I was not only mourning for my son, but I was mourning my grandkids that he would have brought into the world eventually. I don’t know why that hurt so much too, but it did,” said Grinnell.

Knowing the killer is still free only adds pain to this horrific situation. Police believe that Gabriel Nevarez may have fled to Mexico. They want to bring him back to face first degree murder charges, but they need help to make that happen.

“Gabriel Nevarez does have several family members that live in the pierce county Tacoma area and I can’t exclude the possibility that he may be in contact with some of those persons,” said Miller. ”It’s my hope that someone comes forward regarding his current whereabouts. It’d be a heck of a Christmas present for the family to know that they’re going to finally get to face the person responsible for  killing Mr. Grinnell.”

If you know anything about the whereabouts of wanted fugitive Gabriel Nevarez or “The Joker,” Call Crime Stoppers. All call are guaranteed anonymous and you could get $1,000 cash reward for information leading to his arrest.

SEATTLE —  July 2, 2018

Stephen Pierce entered a plea of not guilty to Assault in the First Degree at his arraignment today. He is being  held on $250,000 bail.

CAPTURED — June 6, 2018

King County Sheriff’s detectives say 40-year old Stephen Pierce is being extradited back to Washington state after was arrested by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado Springs, CO.  Pierce is charged with Assault in the First Degree after deputies say he stabbed a stranger in the abdomen at bus stop in SeaTac last September when the victim declined to give him a cigarette.

The case had remained unsolved for several months after the attack until deputies got a Crime Stoppers tip from a Washington’s Most Wanted viewer in West Virginia who saw the video posted on our Facebook page.  “They knew who the suspect was. They named him off as Stephen Pierce.  They said that he was hiding out in the area and the provided good enough information that the detective was actually able to follow up with the tipster from Crime Stoppers.  The detective showed a photograph montage to the victim and a witness and both were able to pick him out. Once we determined he was our suspect, he then fled to Colorado.  The El Paso Sheriff’s Office. They did an excellent job for us. They ended up finding Stephen Pierce. They took him into custody without incident.  He had the backpack and the jacket that he wore the same day of the stabbing.”

Pierce has waived extradition and is on his way back to Washington state.   “The detective told me that if it wasn’t for Washington’s Most Wanted, for Crime Stoppers getting his picture out there that we probably would have never arrested this guy or figured out who he was so thanks to the show and thanks to this tip that came in we were able to arrest this guy and it meant a lot to the victim and it’s an excellent story,” said Sgt. Abbott.

Pierce is Washington’s Most Wanted Capture #995 thanks to tips from our viewers.

WANTED IN KING COUNTY —
Take a look the man wanted in SeaTac after police say he stabbed an innocent victim who was waiting at the bus stop, minding his own business with his girlfriend.

It happened at the bus shelter at 200th and International Blvd. on September 7th at about 10pm.

He wore a red shirt, Mariners hat and backpack as he rode a bus in SeaTac. “We have some pretty decent video of our suspect as he was riding a bus before he got off on that stop. We just haven’t been able to identify him,” said King County Sgt. Cindi West.

When it was time to get off at his stop, you can hear him talk to the driver as he exits the bus, "Alright, I am gonna go To the Light Rail. Take care of yourself brother. Stay safe." “A male subject who had gotten off a bus previously approached the victim and asked him for a cigarette. The victim said he didn't have one and so our suspect walked away. A few minutes later, the suspect came back, approached our victim and the victim said suddenly he felt a large sharp pain in his abdomen and then the suspect walked away. When our victim looked at his stomach, he saw that he had a large stab wound in the stomach. In fact, it was so extreme that his intestines were exposed. Aid was called, he was transported to Harborview and fortunately he survived. This is just a bizarre situation. Our victim does not know the suspect. Other than the fact that the suspect asked for a cigarette. There was no other conversation between the two. The suspect just merely decided to stab him. If he randomly stabbed someone over what appears to be a cigarette. What else is he capable of.  We definitely want get this guy off the street before he hurts somebody else,” said Sgt. West.

If you know who this guy is, where he lives or have any information that can help detectives track him down, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000. Call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or use the P3 Tips App to submit your information.

FUGITIVE CAPTURED July 3, 2018 —
Swinomish Police Officers arrested Didier E. Perez-Rodriguez on Tuesday morning.

Swinomish Police say during a routine check of the parking lot of the Swinomish Casino, officers located a stolen vehicle with a couple of people walking away from it. The man and woman were contacted by the officers. The male subject provided a false name, but the officers were able to utilize tattoos and other identifying marks to ascertain his actual identity.

Perez-Rodriguez was wanted in connection with several recent crimes in Snohomish County.

He was handed over to the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

The woman he was with was booked in to the Skagit County Jail.

The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner in Burlington.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY March 30, 2018 —
The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force is asking for the public’s help to find a Skagit County man.

Didier E. Perez-Rodriguez is charged with Alien in Possession of a Firearm and Identity Theft 2nd Degree as well as DUI in Mount Vernon.

The 30-year-old did not show up for court, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputy pulled him over because he was driving a truck with expired tags. Prosecutors say he gave the deputy another man’s identification. “When deputies ran that name, they realized it was not him. They went back and tried to speak with him further about that and when they tried to detain him, he did resist arrest and ended up running from the police,” said Courtney O’Keefe with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say Perez-Rodriguez left his wallet behind that contained his real Washington Driver’s license, which was expired and a Mexico ID.

A short time later, another deputy spotted him on foot on the side of the road. “When the deputy tried to detain him once more, he resisted arrest again and made threats that he did have a gun on him. He was armed with a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol. He did not have the proper documentation to be carrying that gun and it is a danger to deputies, as well as the public,” said O’Keefe.

According to court documents, ICE confirmed Perez-Rodriguez is in the U.S. illegally.

He is 5’5″ and weighs 180 pounds.

--------------ORIGINAL CASE-------------
FUGITIVE WANTED BY WASHINGTON STATE GAMBLING COMMISSION AGENTS April 20, 2018 --
A big night at a Spokane casino for this guy. Problem is -- the casino was closed and he broke in by hurling a brick through a window.

A camera watching the front doors of Aces Casino on Division St. shows glass shatter to the ground, the crook climb in cautiously so he doesn't get cut, then him coming in through the lobby door.

From there, this burglar who the Washington State Gambling Commission hopes you can help identify, spent hours causing chaos inside the casino. "He broke some casino equipment. He shuffled through some items. He actually ended up only taking some liquor, a little bit of candy and a small amount of money, but the damage that he caused to the casino equipment and the front door is going to cost quite a bit for the business owner to repair,” said Heather Songer with the Washington State Gambling Commission. “When we were reviewing the surveillance video, we were actually shocked [NOTE: VID FOR REST ]to see that the suspect was in the casino for around 2 hours, so that tells us he was not afraid of getting caught and this is probably something he`ll do again in the future, unless we get him caught."

The burglar broke in around midnight on Sunday, April 8th.

He's tall and skinny with sunken cheeks.

One photo shows him in a corner without his hoodie on, so you can make out what his hair looks like. It seems short, maybe bald or thinning on top and blonde or light-colored.

If you recognize him, use the P3 Tips app to submit your information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

Portland-Vancouver witnesses hold key to solving murder in Long Beach, WA; $36,000 reward

LONG BEACH, WA – Jeff Beach wasn’t a local but the people of Long Beach take his murder three years ago very personally.  The 36-year-old from the Kent area was attacked on July 3, 2015 and died after being airlifted to Portland. “The whole community was devastated and this is just not activity that we condone in this area,” said Venito Trujillo who works at the Pioneer Market and Deli.

It’s one of the businesses around town where Pacific County Sheriff Scott Johnson is posting new Crime Stoppers fliers offering a $36,000 reward for any tip that leads to the killer’s arrest.  He hopes they catch the eye of someone returning to Long Beach who visited three years ago on July 4th. “One area we would really like to reach out to is the Portland-Vancouver area since it appears that there may be witnesses from that area that still haven’t come forward to us,” said Sheriff Johnson.

Beach was in Long Beach softball tournament when he was violently assaulted twice while trying to stop some women from being harassed. Investigators say there were 10 to 15 witnesses to the first attack on the beach. It was a chaotic scene. “There’s fireworks going off everywhere so it’s loud. There’s a lot of people. A lot of them intoxicated, so there could be lots of people who may have actually witnessed something we’ve never even identified,” said Det. Ryan Tully.

As Beach headed back to his resort, Det. Tully says the 3rd baseman was attacked again.  Investigators would like to speak with any witnesses. Beach was found lying in a trail between the dunes. “When this call first came out and responders were arriving, the call was reported to have come out at the RV park and so responders were actually going to that location and didn’t realize that it was actually a separate trail that this had happened on so they were actually having to run through the dune grass just to get to Jeff,” said Det. Tully.  Beach died of a traumatic brain injury.

Speaking at the softball field in Kent where he practiced, Beach’s parents just want some answers.  “It`s tough. I think not having closure makes it tougher, because there`s a lot of things we don`t know,” said mom Laurie Beach.  Sheriff Johnson says he understands the last three years have been agonizing for Beach’s family but he absolutely believes this case can be solved. “Someone killed Jeff Beach and we would like that person in jail. We have most of the clues that we need. We just need a little more direction to go out and make an arrest,” said Sheriff Johnson.

The community of Long Beach is counting on that.  “We don’t want our tourists and friends and family to come visit and think that something like this is gonna happen,” said Trujillo.

If you have any information that can help deputies identify the suspect, contact the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 875-9397 or you can remain anonymous and submit a tip to Crime Stoppers via the P3 Tips App on your phone or at http://www.P3Tips.com.

Victim remains hospitalized four months after hit-and-run in Beacon Hill crosswalk

SEATTLE — Seattle Police are continuing to ask for the public’s help to find a beige 1998 Mazda Protégé with Washington license plate BGY9857 like the cars pictured. The driver hit 63-year-old Terry Johnson, who was walking across the street in a crosswalk in Beacon Hill.

“Terry has been at Harborview Medical Center for four months, in and out of the ICU. He is on his third trach, not able to walk, knows he has memory loss, has difficulty speaking and bouts of confusion.

A community group called Beacon Hill Safe Streets recently held an event to draw attention to the intersection where Terry was hit.

“The city’s traffic engineer said that they would paint the right lane red and that right lane is the lane that Terry was hit from and they were trying to say they’d paint it red for a few feet to tell people that they were supposed to turn right instead of going straight. I think that’s a nice thing to do but I’m not sure if somebody is running the red light and speeding through the intersection that putting a little red paint is going to make the difference. We politely asked them to stop as we organize the community to find out what would make it safe,” said Beacon Hill Safe Streets Co-chair Robert Getch.

Their goal is to make sure people can leave the house and feel safe whether they are walking or biking. ‘Frequently, we look at all the ways that cars move through an intersection and all the ways that a bus moves through an intersection and then we get to pedestrians and then at a last stop, we look at a bike. It’s frustrating to me because I think pedestrians should always be at the top of the scale. They are the most vulnerable,” said Getch.

He’s been disappointed with the new administration. “It does not seem like it is a priority and it seems like they are green washing, doing things like calling the Lander Street Bridge a pedestrian bridge when it has four lanes of traffic and a sidewalk on one side. That’s not a pedestrian bridge, that’s just a bridge,” said Getch.

He stresses they are not against cars. “We understand people need to drive and we understand people need to get where they are going but at the same time I hope they would want a community group if someone they knew got hurt in the street to sit down and what could we do and make sure this doesn’t happen to another family,” said Getch.

To join their group, you can find information here on their Facebook page: Beacon Hill Safe Streets

If you can tell Seattle Police where to find the Mazda that hit Terry, please submit an anonymous tip at http://www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips App on your phone. There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Bring Roxy home: Tacoma Police investigating after two men steal little girl’s puppy

TACOMA, Wash. -- Police are investigating after an 8-year-old girl says two men stole her puppy right out of her hands on Monday.

Don Howard says it happened Monday about 5 p.m. when his daughter and her younger sister were playing in their yard near 352nd street in NE Tacoma.

"My family is devastated and my daughters are traumatized that two grown men did this to them," said Howard.

He says two men drove past the home in a newer pearl white Toyota with tinted windows and then made a U-turn.

"A tall, slim, light-skinned man with his hair in a bun walked up to the kids, as the driver slowly pulled the car closer. The light skinned man asked to pet the puppy. When the girls told the man no, he snatched the puppy from my 8-year-old's hands and jumped into the car," said Howard on Facebook.

He believes the car the suspects were driving may be a Celica.

Howard described the male suspect who took the puppy as a Pacific Islander and the getaway driver as black.

"My daughters are terrified to even be at our home. I want to get justice for my kids and put these men behind bars," said Howard.

Tacoma Police confirm they took a report about a theft of a dog and are following up.

"We have no leads at this time," said Officer Loretta Cool.

Roxy is a pit bull puppy with a white chest and white paws. She has a distinctive small bald circle on the top of her head.

Officers are asking for any information to help locate the puppy and identify the suspects.

Please call 911 if you see Roxy. If you wish to remain anonymous, submit a tip to Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County by using the P3 Tips App on your phone or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Spanaway man’s foot amputated after he was shot during carjacking

SPANAWAY, Wash. -- A man whose foot and part of his leg were amputated after he was shot during a carjacking in Tacoma two weeks ago is recovering from a third surgery.

Shaun Williams' father, Rick, and family are by his side as he battles an infection in his leg while police try to identify the suspect.

Rick said his son's recovery at St. Joseph's Medical Center is going slowly. Shaun was sitting in his Honda after playing pool at Billy B's Pub on South 56th street with his window partially open when a suspect with a sawed off shotgun barrel through it and told him to "get out."

"When he went to step out, the guy shot him in the left ankle blowing off all of his foot and part of his lower leg," said Rick.

Shaun was on the ground screaming for help and holding his leg.

"He said the guy came over and held the gun on it again and he heard it click and it didn't go off," said Rick.

Tacoma police say there is no video of the suspect right now, but if you know who the gunman is -- submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or use the P3 app on your smartphone.

"The vehicle's been recovered. We're looking for any info on the suspect who's been described as a male, 5' 8" tall, 170 pounds, could be Hispanic but anyone with information on the crime, we're asking them to call in," said Tacoma police spokesperson Loretta Cool.

Shaun's dad says his son has a heart of gold. He held back tears describing one of Shaun's recent acts of kindness.

"(Shaun is) one person I never would think deserves this," he said. "He gave a homeless gal a ride gave her his last 3 bucks so she could get something to eat."

A machinist by trade until an injury, Shaun has been detailing cars to help support his 13-year-old daughter.

Now, he's preparing to be fitted for a prosthetic foot and dealing with the emotional trauma of what happened to him.

Shaun's father hopes the suspect sees these photos so he knows exactly how much pain and grief he's caused.

"I just hope the cops catch him soon," said Rick.

If you'd like to help with medical expenses, you can go to any Wells Fargo Bank and ask to donate to the Shaun Williams Benefit Fund.
