WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY —
Joshua Mineer is a convicted child predator who preys on young boys — and he’s in the wind right now.

He’s a Level III sex offender — the worst of the worst — and he’s failing to register in Pierce County.

Mineer was convicted of raping two young boys — ages five and seven — in 1999, when he was 12 years old. Then, when he was 17, he was convicted of 1st degree Child Molestation. His victim was an 11-year-old boy who was locked-up with Mineer in a juvenile detention center at the time.

“The suspect in this case has multiple convictions and unfortunately his victims have been kids, that’s somebody who has predatory stylistics and we want to know where he’s at. He’s had multiple violations and having multiple violations, he knows the system well and he knows he’s supposed to register, so we need to figure out where he’s at and make sure he’s not around other possible victims,” said Pierce County Sheriff’s Det. Ed Troyer.

He’s 34 years old now, 5’9”, weighs 185 pounds and is known to use the fake first name, ‘Joseph.’

Officers say he made minimal progress during sex offender treatment while he was locked up and knows that he is wanted.

If you spot him, or know where he’s hiding, submit a tip to Crime Stoppers through the P3 Tips App that you can download for free on any smart phone, or by calling the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477). It’s anonymous and you’ll get a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip helps lead to his arrest.

CAPTURED: Suspect seen cashing checks stolen from victim’s storage unit

SNOHOMISH COUNTY —  Mountlake Terrace Police say they have arrested a suspect accused of cashing checks stolen from a storage unit.   Michael Scott Gibbs was booked for Identity Theft 2nd Degree and Theft 2nd Degree.

“It was a tip that came in from Washington’s Most Wanted and they identified the person cashing the stolen check or the forged check as Michael Gibbs and when I pulled his photo and compared it to the video it absolutely was him. I attempted to contact him. He was currently in custody in the Snohomish County Jail on a 1st Degree Robbery charge,” said Det. Pat Hatchel.

In that case, Edmonds Police say Gibbs stole the tip jar from Manna Teriyaki on Highway 99 on July 17th.  When the clerk chase him out of the building, officers say Gibbs dropped the jar and it broke.  When both men bent over to pick up the money, police say Gibbs showed a knife so the clerk backed off.

Officers later located arrested Gibbs after comparing him to the suspect seen on surveillance video stealing the tip jar.  They say they recovered a fixed blade knife with a sheath attached to his belt, a CA driver’s license in another man’s name, a WA driver’s license in another man’s name, credit cards stolen from two victims along with stolen checks belonging to three victims.

According to court documents, Gibbs has had 9 misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court as well as a history of warrants in 4 different superior court cases.  He faces 31 to 41 months in prison if convicted of Robbery 1st Degree.

He is currently being held on $11,500 bail.

Gibbs is WMW Capture #1112 thanks to tips from our viewers.

WANTED IN MOUNTLAKE TERRACE —
Storage unit thefts are a problem everywhere and the crooks who cash-in on good, hardworking people storing their stuff just makes me so mad.

Depending on the level of security a storage facility has — they’re prime targets for thieves — and a woman in Mountlake Terrace knows this painfully too well. She’s going through financial hell after crooks stole checks from her storage unit and turned her into an identity theft victim – but Mountlake Terrace Police hope you can help give her some justice — by identifying a crook who cashed one of her checks on May 30th.

“He comes in the first time and this is at the Money Tree in Everett and he does cash a check for $1,000 and the gets the money and walks out great. He comes back the next day and tries to cash a check for $2,500 and it just takes a little bit longer and he gets spooked and he just walks out at that point,” said Mountlake Terrace Police Det. Pat Hatchel. “He’s got some tattoos on his right arm, I can’t quite figure out what they are, but they’re pretty unique and they’re on his upper forearm, and he’s driving a white truck that appears to may be a 1990, maybe early 2000’s type of pickup truck. I think that whoever got the checks probably sold them, or traded them, maybe for drugs and then someone else is sending people out and a lot of times what they’ll do is they’ll send someone out with this check and they will get a percentage of the money and that’s how they do that. They provide the check, the name and often the fake ID. An ID was used on this one and it’s not the person whose name is on there, they got a fake ID in someone else’s name.”

Detective Hatchel says several of the victim's stolen checks were cashed for thousands of dollars, but you can't put a price on the hardship she's still enduring. "The amount of problems that they've caused this poor victim is indescribable. I mean, she's been battling with this, because as you can imagine she's getting bounced checks back from the bank, all over and you have to prove it's not you and it's just, I feel bad for her, I'd like to catch this person, because they're going to do it to somebody else, they absolutely will and they probably already have.”

So, take a good look at this guy, the tattoos on his right forearm and the white truck he drove to the Money Tree in Everett in late May.

If you know his name, or have any information that can help identify him, use the P3 Tips App on your smart phone to submit the information to Crime Stoppers, or call the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477). It's anonymous and you'll get a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tips help lead to his arrest.

TACOMA, Wash. -- The Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force is asking for the public's help to find a 2008 International Crew Cab flatbed tow truck. It's easy to spot because the front and back doors of the crew cab are the same size, it has tinted windows and spiky rims on the front tires.

"It took us almost a year to find exactly what we wanted and even after that, we had done a lot of customization and maintenance and repairs to make it really exactly what we needed so for us, we just want the truck back," said Brandon Clifton.

It only took four minutes for the thieves to steal it from where it was parked at 6247 S Tacoma Way on Sunday, August 18th at 7:45 a.m. The thieves were driving a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport (2 door).

The loss of the tow truck which they used 5 or 6 days a week has had a huge impact on their business. They are now having to hire a transport company to move their vehicles which slows things down.

If you spot the tow truck or can identify the suspects, call 911 or message the Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force on their Facebook page.  All American Motors is offering a $3,000 reward to anyone who can help recover their vehicle.

12-year-old boy’s hard earned bike stolen in East Bremerton

EAST BREMERTON, Wash. -- 12-year-old Jaden Young worked hard all of last summer mowing yards and doing chores in his East Bremerton neighborhood to earn enough money to buy a bicycle so he could ride with his friends. Last week, somebody stole the bike out of his yard. It is a BMX Rainbow colored Fantasky bike with custom 24-inch wheels that cost him almost $400.

"I have trouble seeing things so I figured if I lost it, left it over at a friend's house, I could just go and know that it's mine and not many people have them," said Jaden. Before his bike was stolen, he was having a great summer and celebrating his recent win at the Roller Sports National Championships.

Missing Attachment Missing Attachment Missing Attachment

Now, he can't go riding with his friends and has to walk everywhere.

"He just stays inside a lot more. It put his trust in people really different cause he worked hard. It's a generally safe community and his bike was taken from his front porch in the middle of the daytime which thieves are getting brazen and to me, it's just not acceptable," said his mom, Katherine Young. She says they have notified pawn shops and other stores to be on the lookout. The BMX has duct tape all over the seat and Jaden can identify it from the dings and scratches on it. They have already gone to look at two similar bikes that were found but neither was his.

Bremerton Police say there were 17 bikes reported stolen last year and they are on track for the same number this year. They encourage everyone to always use a secure bike lock.

If you spot Jaden's bike, please call Bremerton Police. On a side note, I found a BMX Kent Fantasy bike to replace the one he had stolen and I was going to order it but it only has 20 inch wheels. It doesn't have the 24 inch wheels he had on his bike. His mom says those were custom wheels she ordered that are not available now. I am still planning to do some research though and am open to suggestions from those who know more about bikes than I do. Hopefully, somebody will see the story help find his bike quickly.

Suspects sought in Kitsap County pharmacy break-in

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- Thousands of opioid pills are on the streets after more than 14 pharmacy burglaries in western Washington this summer.

The latest of these burglaries was in South Kitsap County, where two suspects broke into a locally-owned pharmacy in the middle of the night. The owner says it's the first time in over 50 years that anything like this has happened.

"It's such a disheartening thing, that's for sure," South Park Pharmacy owner Ken Paskett said.

The surveillance video from the pharmacy shows two suspects using a pry bar to break the locks on the front door before racing inside.

"It was Monday a week ago at 3:07 in the morning, I got a call from my alarm company," Paskett said.

Paskett immediately drove to the store; deputies were already on scene but the burglars were gone.

"Within four minutes they had scooped up [thousands of pills] and left the scene in a dark-colored sedan," said Deputy Scott Wilson.

The only other clues are their clothes. One suspect was wearing white shoes that appear to have some red marking on the upper heel. The other suspect's dark hoodie has a large white logo on the front.

Police are searching for suspects who broke into the South Park Pharmacy in Kitsap County (Courtesy photos)

It's the latest in a string of pharmacy burglaries across western Washington, including multiple break-ins in Seattle Issaquah and Renton.

The theft at South Park Phamaracy meant Paskett had to turn customers away when he couldnt' fill prescriptions for those who really need them.

If you can identify the suspects involved in the break-in, Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000. Call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or submit an anonymous tip through the P3 Tips app on your phone.

Police have not determined the victim's identity but said he is a white male who is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall.

WANTED IN SPANAWAY —
Can you identify this suspect in a stabbing on August 14th, at 204th St. E. and Mountain Highway, near the Walmart in Spanaway?

Detectives say he appears to be a black male in his late teens or early 20’s, 5’7” tall, slender build, and was wearing a black hoodie and jean shorts.

He was driving an older white Ford Explorer.

Deputies say the victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses said the suspect drove past them just before 4pm as they were sleeping on a grassy area behind the Jack in the Box restaurant and stared them down. "We believe he was driving down the road, looked over, saw somebody sleeping on the side of the road, near a homeless camp and went, intentionally hid his vehicle, came back with a knife, stabbed him multiple times, fled the scene, ran through a parking lot, threw the knife up on top of the Walmart building, got in the back of the store, got in the vehicle and fled the scene. At this point we don't know who the suspect is and our victim doesn't know who the suspect is. We don't know if this is just random, or mistaken identity thing, but either way, we have somebody who's armed with a knife, that intentionally hid his vehicle, went after the victim, who was sleeping on the side of the road, stabbed him, then fled the scene and tried to hide the weapon," said Pierce County Sheriff's Det. Ed Troyer.

WANTED IN TACOMA —
The hunt is on for dangerous drive-by shooting suspect, Antonio Ortega.

Minutes after the gunfire stopped on S. 86th St. in Tacoma on July 19th, officers stopped a carload of suspects in a white Cadillac Escalade and as they were putting Ortega in the back of a patrol car — they say bullets fell out of his pocket — bullets that matched two handguns guns used in the shootings.

Tacoma Police say since then, they’ve  gathered even more evidence that ties Ortega to the slew of shootings.

He was originally released from custody while detectives investigated the case, now Pierce County prosecutors have charged him with four counts of Drive By Shooting and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

“Attempts to contact him, to locate him have been unsuccessful. Clearly, this is a man that’s been involved in numerous drive-by’s and we would like to get him off the streets as soon as possible. WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Seattle Police are asking for your help to identify a suspect who is burglarizing businesses in the middle of the day.

Take a look at the surveillance photos showing the guy police are trying to find. He’s wearing a T-shirt used for construction, but that may be just a disguise. There is one good clue: Look at the photos of the tattoo on the back of his right elbow that says ‘JP,’ or ‘JR.’

This crook has been spotted in the SODO area of Seattle. That’s where he broke into a suite of offices on 1st Ave. last month — stealing $120,000 in cash and gold coins from the locked office of an investment business while the owner, Chris Flugstad, wasn’t there. “A number of individuals said they recognized the same person, did the exact same thing in their building, walked in during business hours, this was like 3pm and casually walked around and stole stuff and then left,” said Flugstad.

He says the guy also stole some very valuable, rare whiskey and he would have gotten away with even more coins if not for another very vigilant business owner in the building who confronted him. "I looked at him and I said to him, ‘Can I help you?’ He looked at me, did not respond. He was carrying two cases. He put them down. He continued to look at me. I stood there. He walked down the steps and continued going east to the corner, across the street to the railroad yard, made a left, went about a block, spoke to a fellow on a bicycle, came back to 1st Ave., crossed 1st Ave. and continued north. During this time, I said to him probably 4 or 5 or 6 times, ‘Stop! I'd like to talk to you. Stop! I'd like to talk to you.’ He ignored that, of course and went about his way."

Since he broke into the offices on July 25th, they have upgraded their security even more and are hoping somebody can help Seattle Police identify him. If you know his name, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000. Submit an anonymous tip at www.p3tips.com, through the P3 Tips App on your smart phone, or call 1-800-22-TIPS(8477).

FBI helps boost reward for Kingdom Hall attacks to up to $61,000

SEATTLE – The ATF says the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a string of attacks on Jehovah’s Witnesses halls in the past year has been increased to up to $61,000, with the Federal Bureau of Investigations offering up to $25,000 this week.

The ATF says it’s also offering up to $25,000, the Arson Alarm Foundation is offering a reward from its annual $10,000 fund and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is offering up to another $1,000 through Crime Stoppers of South Sound.

There have been seven separate attacks on Kingdom and Assembly Halls of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Thurston County since March 2018.  They are:

  • March 19, 2018:  Two arson attacks – one at a Tumwater Kingdom Hall and the second at a Kingdom Hall on Cain Road in Olympia.  Damage to both was minor, limited to the exterior structures.
  • May 15, 2018: An unknown suspect or suspects shot and struck a Kingdom Hall in Yelm with about 35 .223 rifle rounds, causing more than $10,000 in damage to the structure.
  • July 3, 2018:  An arson completely destroyed the Olympia Kingdom Hall on Cain Road.  This was the same Kingdom Hall that was damaged in the March 19 attack.
  • Aug. 8, 2018.  A fire was set against the back fence at the rear of the Kingdom Hall in Yelm, but members were able to put the fire out.  This fire caused minimal damage to the fence and a back wall of the Kingdom Hall.  This was the same location where someone fired rifle rounds at it on May 15.
  • Dec. 7, 2018:  An arson completely destroyed the Lacey Kingdom Hall on 6th Ave SE.
  • Aug. 13, 2019:  A fire was set at the Puyallup Assembly Hall on 62nd Ave E., causing relatively minor damage to an outside wall and overhang.

The ATF says the incidents are all close to each other and believed to be related.

No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents.

“It is inevitable that innocent people will be injured or killed if these incidents go unchecked,” said Seattle Field Division Special Agent in Charge Darek Pleasants after the December 2018 fire.  “We take events at houses of worship very seriously and are appealing to those who live in and around Thurston and the surrounding counties to partner with us in protecting their communities in this investigation.”

The ATF believes that these incidents were meant to send a message, that the suspect or suspects has or have a grievance related to the Jehovah’s Witness community, or about another issue they think is important.  The ATF says before these fires, the person or persons involved are likely to have shared these strong feelings with others through comments and conversation.

The ATF believes that the individual or individuals responsible for these incidents may have also exhibited changes in behavior in the hours and days since the fires, to include:

  • Dramatic and unexplained altering of physical appearance (growth or removal of facial hair, change in hair color or cut, etc.);
  • Change in normal routines or habits, which might include missing work, classes, or previously scheduled appointments;
  • Unexplained injuries;
  • Intense interest in the status of this investigation.

Anyone having information on the fires or shooting should call ATF’s toll free hotline at 888-ATF-TIPS (283-8477), Crime Stoppers of South Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or the Arson Alarm Foundation at 1-800-55-ARSON (1-800-552-7766).  Callers may remain anonymous.

WANTED IN BELLEVUE —
Bellevue Police are hoping you can help round-up the third suspect wanted in a gym locker theft ring responsible for dozens of locker break-ins where they steal cash and credit cards.

Two other suspects have already been arrested and now police are trying to locate Sidney Williams, who detectives say is a huge Seahawks and Huskies fan. In fact, detectives say the video below shows Williams in a Seahawks shirt, using a stolen credit card at Best Buy.

He’s charged with Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft in the 1st Degree and seven counts of identity theft.

Williams was in Wisconsin, but officers say they've learned he has since returned to western Washington -- maybe to take in a game this weekend, so keep an eye at out at Husky Stadium and CenturyLink Field.

You might spot Williams with 50-year-old Troy Mitchell -- the accused ringleader who is free right now on $100,000 bail.

That's Mitchell below, on the right and Williams on the left. Another photo of the two of them shows Williams in the Seahawks gear on the right and Mitchell on the left.

"Don't contact him but if you see this person in a bar, or at the game. Absolutely, call 911, or if there's an officer in the area at the game, you can just say, ‘Hey, this individual was on Washington's Most Wanted and he has outstanding warrants," said Bellevue Police Capt. Travess Forbush.

The detective has done a massive amount of work to crack this theft ring and Bellevue Police just need to get this final capture to get justice for all of the victims. There have been more than 80 gym locker theft cases reported to Bellevue Police this year.

Williams is wanted across the country for breaking into lockers including in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, California and Texas.

He has a 50 state warrant for his arrest.

He's 50 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall and 220 pounds.

If you know where's he staying, or how to find him, submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers for a cash reward of up to $1,000 by using the P3 Tips App on your cell phone, or calling the hot line at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
